The property is a rare find and one of the most beautiful private resorts in Trancoso, Brazil! The terrain is spacious, located directly at the River Trancoso, adjacent to a nature reserve and a fluvial island. From the little sand cove, one can take the kayak into the mid Atlantic rain forest and to the sea. Many wild animals, plants and orchids can be encountered at the property. The aura is a sentiment of peace, tranquility and unity with nature. The surrounding river landscape is unique and without doubt the true jewel of the place. At sunset, a soothing breeze from the river descends on the property. A cocktail can be enjoyed watching the sun set and soon the moon shows his face reflecting a star studded sky on the river surface.

Yet, with this abundance of beauty and tranquility, the property is only a short walk away from the bustling Quadrado, the historic center of Trancoso and today a world heritage site. Here and along this stretch of coast is where the first Portuguese settlers sighted land and were greeted by local indigenous tribes. Subsequently the Jesuits came and a new village was born with the name of the local chapel , São João, one of the oldest in Brasil. This chapel, overlooking the emerald green see from a plateau, today hosts many famous weddings. The town was later renamed Trancoso and was only to be rediscovered by the hippies in the 1970s. The hippies were followed by artists, designers, actors and famous musicians. Trancoso grew rapidly but today still remains the tranquil fishing village it once was.....

The property is also only a stone throw away from Trancoso's famous beaches and attractions which are easily reachable by foot.
The level of accomodation is sophisticated and tries to maintain a synergy by incorporating this pristine environment into the living room. The most important local artists all contributed to give the accomodations a distinct local touch. Wood crafts and local building methods have also been carefully utilised.

A private vegetable and fruit garden in the middle of the property grows organic produce and shows a variety of local fruits and vegetables which can tasted.
