Too many rules
At check in you are given a bracelet to wear (the listing said only during special holiday weekends). Our stay was not during a holiday. You have to wear it at all times and if you lose it, you have to pay $25 to replace it (not $10 like the listing says). And yes security is always around the corner and ask to see it. Even if you are leaving the property.
But the wristbands aren’t near as aggravating as the security officers. One said something to a kid for digging in the sand and another for having animal crackers too close to the pool. I felt like I was being watched the entire time. Security will not let you pass the so called property line in front of the resort to get beach access. A rental company sets up chairs and umbrellas and you can only set up directly behind them making it very crowded. When there is plenty of empty sand on either side of the “lines”. Bringing our own beach chairs ended up being useless.
And if you are a smoker, you do not want to stay here. You are not even allowed to smoke on your own balcony and if you get caught they will kick you out and you will lose your $. There are only 2 places on the entire property that you can smoke. You are not allowed to smoke on the beach.
We arrived 2 hrs early and were not able to check in any early. When check in time came the lobby was packed And we had to wait forever for an elevator. It’s a big resort but has 4 elevators in the main lobby (only 3 worked the entire stay) and 1 other that never worked.
