About this property

This stylish villa is situated in the small exclusive Puig Rosell. Its southerly elevated position provides magnificent panoramic views of the Mediterranean sea towards Palamos and the wooded Gavarres hills. Conveniently situated 10 minutes walk from Calonge - a medieval village with its shops, supermarkets and restaurants - and only 5 minutes drive from the delightful sandy Sant Antoni beach. It has been beautifully appointed to a very high standard. The 3 bedrooms all have private en-suite ( 2 with private balconies and 1 with french doors to private garden terrace). All bedrooms have Air Conditioning units added in 2017. This is an optional extra and has proved very popular as guests are charged only for what they use. They also found this system very fair and inexpensive. The villa is set in a gated plot with a large 10 x 5 metre private pool which can be heated. The garden is terraced with areas for sun lovers and for those who prefer shade, and even a boules area for the more active. The covered patio is perfect for outdoor dining. An additional outdoor terrace area complete with teak table and chairs and Spanish feature stone BBQ gives you the perfect choice of where to eat or relax. This area now has a new gazebo with retractable roof and sides perfect for those hot sunny days or to provide the perfect sheltered dining place in Spring or Autumn.

Further details for the villa at Puig Rosell: Catalonia boasts a wealth of things to see and do whether by car, public transport or on foot. There is something for everyone.
The people are proud of their gastronomy with fish being a speciality. Palamos if famous for its prawns and anchovies.
There are a number of excellent Golf courses and Tennis clubs nearby and even a pro-am golf course within 10 minutes drive.
Watersports are available at many of the beautiful local beaches
At the villa there is a book filled with ideas of things to do and places to visit. There is also a list of tried and tested eating places.

Skiing: Ski resorts in the Spanish Pyrenees are within 2 hours drive. These are also open during the summer months for outdoor pursuits including white water rafting.

Barcelona and Girona: The wonderful cities of Barcelona and Girona are 1hour 30 and 45 minutes drive away.

Very well equipped house

The house is well equipped with good quality bedding & comfortable beds. Good size pool with complete privacy. The only negative is the steepness of the drive, (about 20 degrees incline) with a tight turn at the top.

Nice house with a large pool

We enjoyed our stay at Sue and Anthony's house. We were there for 3 weeks in the summer. The large pool was a big hit with the kids. Since the house is up in the mountain, it was nice to have a breeze blowing into the house at night. We used the air condition in the bedrooms almost every night since it was very hot in August, and were happy to cover the small additional cost of using the A/C. We also enjoyed dining on the large outdoor dining table with a retractable shade during the day. Joan, who lives locally and gave us the keys to the house, was available to explain about the house and answer questions if we had any. Sue and Anthony were always responsive and friendly in their emails. It was a short drive to all the local supermarkets in Calonge, and to the nice beaches nearby. Overall, we had an enjoyable time and hope to come back to Costa Brava again soon. Thanks Sue and Anthony!

Wonderful house and garden

The house was really nice, lovely garden and pool. Well maintained, spacious and well equiped. Many nice places to sit outside. Perfect vaccation for a family with teenagers (We were a family - mom, dad and four teenagers aged 15-19) as the villa can be enjoyed togehter or in the many separate rooms. Everybody loved the house. Really nive with the big fridge and freezer with ice. Two recommendations: One or two sunshades near the pool and mosquito nets for the master bedroom and master bathroom would be really usefull.
