• The upper level of the home consists of one bedroom with a queen size bottom and twin top bunk, and a full bathroom. The loft has a flip game table that allows you to play pool or air hockey!
• The lower level has two bedrooms with a queen size bed each that share Jack and Jill bathroom. The master bedroom on the other side of the lower level and has its own bathroom.

• For activities other than SKIING and/or MOUNTAIN BIKING, exit the neighborhood on Skiway Road and take a short walk on the wide shoulder of Highway 184 to Overlook Trail, a .4 moderate HIKE that ends in Perry Park. There you can picnic while taking in the beauty of the waterfall and pond. If you cross Tamarack Road across from Perry Park, you can begin Upper Pond Creek Trail called Beech Mountain's favorite trail, a one mile easy hike ending in Lake Coffey. This can easily turn into a full day of family fun! A half-mile walk to Fred's for a quick lunch of their famous Chili will have you ready to cross Highway 184 for a visit to the recently built DOG PARK! Two large running areas are available for small and large dogs as well as sitting areas for owners to relax and take in the view. Ready for an afternoon of ZIP LINING, TUBING, or RAFTING? A short 17 mile drive to Hawksnest or 25 miles to Boone, will have you on an adventure ride of a lifetime. How about HORSEBACK RIDING? Banner Elk Stables are 8.5 miles away from your doorstep and are open year-round. On the way back from riding, a quick stop at the TROUT FARMS on NC-105, will ensure a great ending to a fun-filled day!
VIDEO CAMERAS: There are THREE cameras on sight - one on the upper level facing the front of the house and parking area; and another one in the back under the deck covering the fire pit area; and one in the corner by the bbq area. All record motion and sound.
PETS - pets must be supervised at all times. There is always a possibility that a pet can escape and get lost in the woods. Always keep them within sight.

About the host
Hosted by Betty Trueba

Carlos and Betty have been married for 41 years and have a beautiful family that has been expanding these past few years. Nicole, our eldest, has three children and Valerie, has two. We enjoy traveling, skiing, mountain biking, and running (not Carlos though). Most of all, we love our two American Bulldogs, Mimi (who passed away on August 3, 2021 from cancer) and Junior, (passed away June 6, 2022) who are always excited to join us on our travel adventures and have already visited quite a few states in our travel trailer. We have adopted Hannah, an American Staffordshire from a rescue, as of 2019. and in 2020, purchased another vacation home in Flagler Beach, Florida (not rentable) which we use often. Between Beech and the beach, we always enjoy our homes away from home.
Why they chose this property
North Carolina has always tugged at their hearts having visited the area often with their family. This past winter, after visiting the vacant lot they own in RiverBend at Lake Lure, Carlos and Betty decided it was time to build the cabin of their dreams. They continued their Christmas vacation to Beech Mountain discussing their plans and stayed at the Treehouse Condominiums near Kick Turn Lane. They had visited this area before and had even vacationed in the cabin nearest the slopes in 2005. While going through a real estate brochure, Betty found that 106 was on sale and the rest is history. They were able to do a quick walk through and immediately upon their return to Miami, decided to purchase the cabin, realizing this was their dream home and location. Eager to share in their good fortune, the Truebas have opened their home to other families and guests looking to enjoy the beauty of North Carolina.
What makes this property unique
Ski, Pedals 'n Paws offers the best of all worlds . Enjoy all the outdoor activities close by and then come home and relax by the fire. Best of all, your pets will always be welcome regardless of breed, since Betty often fosters and rescues dogs back in Miami.
