Whistling Villa is one of the most affordable holiday vacation villa for rent in Runaway Bay,on Jamaica's North Coast.There are four large air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, walk in closet, and cable tv.The villa is ideal for family reunions,intimate wedding reception,or a group of friends hanging out and having a good time.
Children are always welcome, and babysitting can be arranged.
Swim at leisure in your own private freshwater pool, or relax in the sunshine in the pool area. Free access to public beach, and shared private beach for villa guests is just minutes away.
The optional staff will prepare scrumptious meals for you, served on the
terrace, pool area, or in the formal dining room. There are fantastic local places to eat and nearby hotels such as Jewel resort, Sandals, Gran Bahia, FDR,Club Ambiance,Riu, where you can purchase a day pass, or night pass for evening activities and nightlife.
Whistling Villa is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Dunn's River Falls, and Mystic Mountain. It is only 25 minutes to the new Island Village in Ocho Rios, with plenty of shopping ,restaurants,Jimmy Buffet's Margueritaville Restaurant and Beach Bar,and the Hard Rock Cafe.In Ocho Rios you can spend time with the Dolphins at Dolphin cove.
The villa is also only steps away from Runaway Bay's 18-hole, PGA-quality golf course.Recreational activities include: horse back riding, polo, and various water sports such as scuba diving ,snorkeling, kayaking, speed boats etc.

Relaxing

We are glad to havw stayed at Whistling Villa. The location was perfect for visiting family, going shopping and relaxing on the beach. Having the services of Ms. Jennifer was very nice. She is a very good cook.

Great house and lovely pool

This is a fabulous home and has everything you could need. The pool is great though deep so maybe not great for small children or none swimmers.

My friends and I stayed here for 2 weeks, had a great time. Pool was awesome, house very comfortable. Jennifer and Chris were great, anything we needed they were there. You really need to rent a car, we spent a lot of money various rides. The local taxis are cheaper than the tourist ones and are great. Overall we had a great time and would not hesitate to visit Whistling Villa again.

The owner was esay to talk to and was very responsive. The place was excellent clean, open living area and great bedrooms. Miss Jennifer was perfect. Cooks great tasting meal and good conversations. Total privacy in a beautiful and spacious setting

We loved this villa. Total privacy and security. There was plenty of space in which to move around. The pool was lovely and the grounds maintained to perfection, including the mango trees. The manager answered every question and phone message promptly and cheerfully. Everything functioned and lots of hot water in the shower. We had a great time with no worries.

Amazing Vacation at an Almost Amazing Villa

The grounds were amazing with multiple fruit trees, we even had a few julie mangoes. The villa was the perfect size for us, but we had issues with the toilet and shower in one of the bedrooms. Not a big fan of flying roaches inside the villa and spiderwebs coming down from the high ceilings. With my few negatives, I would definitely stay there again.

your very own private resort

excellent communication starts before you reach the property. Dedicated staff welcomed us into the house and showed us everything inside and outside. 4bedrooms each with its own bathroom and A/C unit. huge sitting/living area. Several dining tables and more than enough comfy chairs and chaise lounges. Fully stocked kitchen that enabled us gourmet cooking and even baking. Very private, quiet, peaceful property and neighborhood. Easy to arrive and close to major roads and public beach.

Fabulous villa with a great pool

We were 2 families visiting Jamaica for the first time. The villa has a great setup for 2 families with 2 rooms on either side of the main living area, providing privacy and space. Each room has its own bathroom. The pool area was wonderful, many hours of fun were spent swimming and playing. The property had a large garden area which was well maintained. The kitchen wasn’t huge and can get hot but had all the essentials needed, Jennifer was great and cooked a few meals for us, yummy Jamaican food and lots of it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, communication with the owner was very quick and he was super helpful in organizing groceries, meals and a private driver for the week which made it so easy to get around and much less stressful. I would highly recommend this villa and would definitely return!!

Amazing

My family came down for a wedding and decided to stay here instead of the resorts. Osburn was amazing, answered all my questions and with a quick response. Chis was also amazing, friendly and my husband and I enjoyed our conversation with him. Brittany the Chef was also amazing. She cooked breakfast and dinner for us. Everything she cooked was to die for. If you stay here you must hire her and the price is very reasonable. We also used Julious for transportation Amazing as well. The pool was so relaxing, the property is private, plenty of space, seating inside and out. Will stay again.

The Tribe of Van Dorn

Our new Jamaican Home Away from Home!!! We came as visitors, we left as family!!!! In short.....The stay was ABSOLUTELY wonderful!!! Christopher, the humble grounds keeper, greeted us with a warm, heartfelt welcome as we entered the property through the solar powered double gates. The picturesque garden, with a variety of fruit trees, flowering bushes, and palms, can be enjoyed as you take the short drive to the property or as one sits enjoying the fresh crisp morning air. Christopher (or Adam, as we quickly nicknamed him) was able to share his love for and knowledge of the harmonious plant life in this wonderful little imitation of the Most Highs’ great Garden of Eden. Delores, the house manager, was polite, funny, and full of energy. She ensured we were comfortable as she assisted in the coordination of services and activities. Though not physically available on-site, she was surely just a phone call away. Ms. Jennifer was careful not overwhelm us with her physical presence. Luckily, she couldn't care less about overwhelming us with her love of cooking and hospitality. She could (should) teach a class on hosting, cooking, hospitality!!! We opted for authentic Jamaican dishes that she would routinely prepare for her own children or grandchildren. Needless to say, she delivered!!! The food was more than AMAZING!!!! (This is coming from the “picky eater” of the group) The communication before, during, and after our stay was excellent. The property owner reach out via the messaging application on the booking website and the telephone to ensure every aspect of the trip was given the proper attention. I recommend without hesitation!!!

First VRBO rental

We spent 2 weeks at Whistling Villa and it was amazing. We arrived much later at night than was anticipated but was still made to feel welcomed by Delores and Chris. The villa had a homey and private feel. We felt very safe at the location. The Manager, Delores was very responsive whenever we needed to contact her. The housekeeper, Ms Dorothy was very pleasant and Chris, the caretaker felt like a part of the family. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating without being intrusive. The grounds are well kept, the AC units worked well (and it was really hot), and the pool was beautiful and clean. My first VRBO rental experience was very pleasant and we will definitely be telling our friends about Whistling Villa.

One of the best places I've ever stayed.

I have just returned home to the U.K after spending 1 month at whistling villa August 2018. Where should I start well the two members of staff there Chris the grounds keeper and Miss Curry who was our cook/cleaner are two of the most nicest people I have ever met, nothing was too much trouble for them both to help out with. The food that Miss Curry prepared for us on a daily basis was second to none it was absolutely delicious. The grounds keeper is always there to help out at a moment's notice, he kept the grounds and the pool exceptionally clean and tidy on a daily basis. The villa itself is very spacious and comfortable, the living area is very big and each of the bedrooms are very big and comfortable with the added benefit of Air Conditioning especially after spending days out in the red hot sunshine or just lazing around the pool, which is very nice just to be able to open the doors and have a cool refreshing dip in the pool. The villa has got fruit tree's where you can just go and pick a piece of fruit from which are delicious. The private beach in which the villa has exclusive use of which is only a couple of minutes drive away is beautiful or you have the public beach at the bottom of the road. The villa's location is close to local amenities and tourist attractions like dolphin cove where you can swim and interact with them which I definitely recommend in doing, you have mystic mountain and bobsled which is another fabulous place to visit. You can purchase day/nighttime passes at local hotel resorts like Jewels resort in runaway bay which has a small but very enjoyable water Park attached to it, with the passes you get full access to entire complexes except for the room's where all your food and drink are included with the passes. Whistling Villa is located up in the Cardiff Hall Estate area which is very peaceful after spending days out in like Ocho Rios or Montego Bay. Ocho Rios is a lovely town to visit for the day where you have a beach loads of shops and places to eat like Margherita Vil. We went to the Kool Runnings water park for the day which is approximately 2 and half hours drive. The villa has the added benefit of having a driver which you can hire for days out to take you places. We hired a car for the full month which i would definitely recommend in doing to allow you the freedom of going places when and where you want I would definitely go back again and i would recommend this villa to anyone. Overall a beautiful place

definitely will return to this Home away from home

If you would like to stay at place away from home that feels like home. This is the ideal place for you! Affordable, private and very clean. The Villa is in a quiet area, as well as a gated property with a respectable and friendly young man who keeps the villa grounds looking splendid - not to mention the private pool where you can go for a morning swim or anytime because it is yours to cool off whenever you like! There is a deck with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy a meal or just a quick lunch. The villa is very roomy with the comfort of air conditioning and also a kitchen to cook your meals or there is also a cook/cleaner you can hire at an affordable price. I have stayed at this villa both times i have traveled to Jamaica and i would most definately stay there many more times as i feel safe as well as comfortable. put up your feet and enjoy your vacation with no worries - no problem!

Perfect Location & Villa is a home away from home.

This is the second stay at this villa and I would recommend it to anyone whether you are travelling with family or friends. Beds are big and comfortable. Each room has A/C, private bathrooms and privacy locks. Staff here are very welcoming and always on hand for any type of needs. Dorothy can cook like a chef and she is always willing to help whether it's with laundry, or a babysitter. The pool is great and always clean to use when you feel like a refreshing swim. Will definitely be visiting again.

Hidden Treasure

My husband and I stayed at Whistling Villa for ten days in July 2012. Everything was wonderful and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation, especially given the price point. The pool was well maintained, as were the grounds, and we spent many lazy days out in the sun or shade by the pool. The bed was easily the most comfortable I have ever slept in in all my life. The villa was clean and tidy, which is important to us. Whitsling Villa is a close drive (about 15 minutes) to Ocho Rios and is in the centre of Runaway Bay. You're never far away from everything you need. The real jewel of this hidden treasure is the staff. Miss Joyce was so welcoming, kind, and accommodating. The prepared meals were second to none and it was so nice to have authentic Jamaican home cooking. Chris did an exceptional job keeping the grounds and pool maintained during our stay. We wanted privacy, which is why we chose a villa, but the second we needed something both of them seemed to know exactly when to appear. They truly made our stay a memorable one. Delores, our driver, was also great. All we had to do was call and she was there to help us with any errands we needed. Not only did she drive us, but often she'd accompany us to help us find the best deals, etc. We could not have asked for better people while on our vacation. I would recommend Whistling Villa to all my friends and family. We've been raving about it since we returned home. We look forward to another vacation next year. Will & Melissa
