Great house & location. We love Old Florida Village so much! This was our 4th stay in this Community. Always try a different house based on how many we bring. Very easily walkable, bikeable, or golf cart accessible to beach & other local attractions & restaurants. House had everything we needed and more. 4/3 layout with 1 bedroom and bath downstairs was perfect. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Beaches and Birdies

Old Florida Village is a great little neighborhood. Close proximity to the beach as well as a few restaurants. Pros: Easy walk to beach, plenty of space for 8-9 adults, house is in great condition, secured neighborhood, all around a great place to stay.Cons: The beds. They need to be upgraded to something better. A couple of us struggled all week long with uncomfortable sleeps as the beds were worn down and just not what I would expect when you spend 4k to stay somewhere for a week.

Perfect home

We loved this rental. It was perfect for our family and in laws. We used the gear credit for some bikes and then brought the kids bikes. They loved being able to ride near the house. It's towards the back do the neighborhood, which was great because there was not a lot of traffic. We were a quick bike ride or golf cart ride to the beach access and restaurants. The property manager was wonderful and responded very quickly. Checkin was so easy. Highly recommend!

Reliable and comfortable

This is our second stay at this property (2 years in between). We like this place because of its location. The furniture is not cheap looking. Good communications with the property manager. They could use some quality knives but I guess people steal them. No spices or condiments. We used the community pool a lot more during this stay and found it very relaxing and refreshing despite the heat. We had to rent a golf cart here. Some other properties we've stayed at include a cart which is pretty much a necessity for getting around. Overall, a nice property that is comfortable and familiar.

OK but only as a last resort

The short walk to the beach is about a half of a mile. This one is in the very back of the neighborhood. Bikes made it ok but who wants to have to deal with that. Not only could we not see or hear the ocean but we couldn't even smell it.

Pleasant enough stay

This was our second VRBO stay in Santa Rosa, first time at this unit. Easy check in. Comfortable although there's not much of a backyard so we sat outside on the drive when we grilled or played corn hole. Very pleasant neighborhood with mostly other short term rentals. Nice pool albeit pretty dark at night. Easy short walk to the beach. Dining and shopping also within walking distance. I'd say the best part of our experience was the property manager who responded immediately to our messages..

Great stay in a great area

We really enjoyed our stay at Beaches and Birdies. We rented a golf cart for the short jaunt to the beach. The pools are a little small though. The house is very comfortable and close to everything. My only negative feedback is that the floors weren't very clean, the grill was filthy (totally unusable) and I've never stayed at any rental that didn't have at least 1 hair dryer. That being said, we'd still be thrilled to come back!

Enjoyed our stay!

Great neighborhood for walking. The walk to the beach was longer than the expected 4-5 minutes as stated in description . It was approximately 10-12. Took a ride to neighboring beach towns which was really enjoyable. Unfortunately lost a diamond pendant off my necklace in the house that I had for 20 yrs but never heard back that it was found. All in all enjoyed our stay.

Nice property!

The house is spacious, decorated well, and had everything you would need. The location was convenient to the beach and to restaurants (Shunk Gully was great!). We loved the Hidden Lake area! It was very quiet and it's a great place to stroll your dog. Our only complaint is the property was not as clean as we would have liked. It could use a deep cleaning. The bathroom floors were a little dirty and the carpeting that is still in the house, especially on the stairs, is pretty dirty looking. The downstairs and the master bath that have been remodeled look great!

Family vacation

We have stayed in this neighborhood 5 times now. For the first time, this year, we were a little disappointed, and have discussed going elsewhere next year. The house was wonderful, but the neighborhood seems to be changing. The house 2 doors down played music extremely loudly in the evening. One night there was a shouting match between that house and someone from a neighboring house. The neighbor said he was going to call the police if they didn't turn down the music. The man said he wasn't going to turn it down, but he eventually did for a while. About an hour later it resumed. We also had neighboring children who played frisbee in the street in front of our house. The Frisbee hit our car pretty hard a couple of times. The street really shouldn't be used as a playground. Also, the pools were ridiculously crowded. We took our two granddaughters (8 and 11) and it was almost dangerous to get in the pool there were so many people rough-housing. We tried going at different times of day, but didn't have much luck. Adults were also smoking at the pool, right beside the sign which says No Smoking. You may be aware of all these things, but just thought I'd note these things. We have always enjoyed this location, but I'm not sure we'll go back next year.

First trip to Santa Rosa area

We were very pleased with the layout and it very well constructed. It was large enough to easily allow 4 couples to stay and looked like someone had taken very good care this house. There are two pools in the subdivision. It was relaxing to sit on the porch and watch people riding their bikes or walking their dogs. Beaches and Birdies is centrally located to all areas of interest. You can be at many restaurants in just minutes. We would definitely stay at this location on future trips to Santa Rosa.

Rest and Relaxation

My family really enjoyed "Beaches and Birdies" in Old Florida Village. The pools were great, the neighborhood is quiet and friendly and the house was fantastic. "Beaches and Birdies" was a very comfortable home for our family. Definitely coming back next year.
