This place was exactly as described. Cozy, convenient, reasonably priced, bed was comfy, close to several food and shopping attractions. I would definitely return here and I highly recommend Tammy as your Vrbo host!
We enjoyed the location and the quiet community. I believe the property could use some upgrades like the mattres and couches. It was clean and the amenities were nice, the toilet needs some attention because it rocks. I was disappointed that there was no soap in the bathroom.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day visit to Saint Augustine. Our accommodations were perfect for our needs. Clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!
Excellent location fir our visit to St Augustine. This place was very clean with plenty of room for us. Decor and atmosphere was warm & inviting. This is a 5 star accommodation. Kudos to this host!!
It was the perfect place for a weekend getaway, with easy access to all the fun activities the city has to offer without being too close to the hustle and bustle. It was cute, clean, fully stocked and super easy to check in and out. Will be staying here again!
Our stay was perfect. Check in was simple and instructions were clear for everything. Everything was neat and spotless. The neighborhood is quiet but still close to local hot spots and only a 5ish minute drive to the historic st augustine parking garage. The Host was timely with all responses and very kind. We will be staying here for all future trips to St. Augustine!
Good location and good value for the money, but a little dated. Bedsheets needed cleaning and had some soiled spots on them. New pillows needed also as they were soiled as well. Spiderweb in the corner of the living room. Outside photos need updating as shrubs have really grown.
Great spot, nice place. Only negative was the bed seemed to have an offish odor to it and the toilet paper holder needs to be fixed. Would have been a 5 star if the bed didn't smell.
Our stay was fine. It was clean and served our purpose. It is more of a studio apartment, than a "house." It is part of a duplex, which I missed in the description. Would have liked to have a few more starter amenities, but we made it work.
We found the property to be conveniently located to Old Town sight seeing. Plenty of off street parking too. The accommodations were plenty roomy for us (2 people). Roku TV provided. Bathroom equipped with tub/shower combo. Bedroom has a king bed which was very comfortable. Only negative is Lack of any kind of dresser for clothes storage. Communication with owner was excellent as were the provided instructions. We would stay again if the occasion for us to be in the area presented itself.
The process was easy from start to finish! The price was just right. Cedar Cove was a short drive to the historic district. Our host was accommodating and responded quickly to all the questions I had as a new traveller! The only thing wanting...was a few more days to play! Looking forward to our next adventure!

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
Pros: quiet place away from hustle and bustle is historic district but close to action (10-15 min drive). Great variety of included channels on TV.
Cons: Bit musty smelling inside. A dehumidifier would help. Get a new mattress pad. The one on the bed is plastic and very noisy every time you turn over. Also, if you are post-menopausal, it makes you very hot. Couch cushions are stained. Overall good place for price but a bit tired.

Will not return.
No smoke alarm in the unit [plate was mounted in ceiling, but alarm was removed]. Remediated with call to owner, but how does something this essential get missed/overlooked? "Not in the scope of the cleaning people" to check. Yikes! I really didn't notice until the 2nd night of my stay - just sort of take for granted that working smoke alarm is a default no matter where we travel. I have more observations, but let's just leave it at this one.
Overall our experience was okay. We had delayed communication with the host but did eventually hear back from her. Not the end of the world! The vrbo was a cute little place, great size for a small group (2 or 3). The house had a strong musty smell that could be helped with some air fresheners. The bed seemed to have a plastic mattress protector on it that made loud crinkle noises when you move and the A/C unit would kick on for about 30 seconds every 5 minutes throughout the night. I think with some small changes there is potential for a very restful, comfortable night's sleep. Lastly there were differences in the information provided for the vrbo online vs on the information sheet such as the wifi password and checkout instructions. It would be nice if everything was consistent! With some little adjustments this will be a relaxing and cozy place!
My husband and I stayed here a week so we could explore St Augustine and ride our tandem road bike in the winter. The location was great and the size of the rental was perfect. I wish there had been a dresser to put our clothes in. we had no use for the small table and 2 chairs that were in the bedroom where a dresser would have fit nicely. Closet was large as was the bathroom. The bistro Hi-top chairs were broken, very wobbly and since we cooked a lot of our meals in, we had to navigate that cautiously. a small normal dining table with chairs would have been preferred. The coffee pot had to be off set from the burner in order for it to not flood the counter, we learned the trick after 2 mop up mornings. The outdoor space is shared with 2 other rentals on the property-- the table outside needed a good cleaning and patio swept, more broken chairs by the firepit. With a little care this could become an excellent 5 star rental.

I live in the beautiful town of St. Augustine. I was born and raised here, received a Bachelors at University of South Florida in Tampa, married and have a wonderful family here in the most amazing town there is!
Why they chose this property
I chose this property in particular because it caters to guests who prefer peace and quiet, while watching the beautiful tall Oaks on the grounds; however, for the people who want the full Old City experience, it is also centrally located near all of St. Augustine's most popular attractions.
