We hope you enjoy your stay here at The Colony House. That said we believe we have included everything to make your stay as relaxing and stress free as you would like it to be. CHECK OUT CHECK LIST

Check out time is 11am unless you have made prior arrangements. Early check in and late check out options are available whenever possible. Message us through your booking site to make arrangements. Happy to help : )
• Make sure all doors and windows are locked and the entire house is secure before leaving the home.
• Turn Heat and/or A/C OFF. Turn OFF all lights, appliances, and the gas to the BBQ. If you opted for the fire pit, fireplace and pool heater, please be sure to turn the pool heat off using the app or the remote as well as the fire pit.
• Dishware and cookware must be cleaned and put away OR placed neatly in the dishwasher. Please do not run the dishwasher if it wont be finished before you depart. Our cleaning crew will take care of that.
• Place all garbage in bags (provided under the sink and in laundry room) and in the containers outside. The containers are located by the large gate on the Sunrise side of the property. No need to move the containers. They are picked up every Monday by our local Palm Springs disposal company in the morning.
• Lower all sun umbrellas to the down position when not in use and upon departure and place back in the covered area. I am sure you noticed the windmills as you drive around town. Palm Springs is known for severe winds on occasion and the umbrellas will break if left open.
• Remove any and all food items left out on counters. This includes fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Please make sure to check for your personal belongings, including cellphone and chargers, toiletries and jewelry, etc. Though we are happy to use our partner myexpressfreight.com to ship you anything you may have left at The Colony House, at your expense, we will not be responsible for missing items. We have designed the house to avoid nooks and crannies where items can get lost in seat cushions and under furniture.
• Security deposits are returned within 7 days of departure or up to 21 days if you are a monthly tenant. If after the time mentioned you still have not received your deposit please email us through the site you originally booked on for further information.

IMPORTANT HOUSE INFORMATION:
POOL SERVICE AND GARDENERS:
For your comfort and convenience we have the pool serviced between 2-4 times a week and the gardener weekly. The pool man usually comes Mondays and Thursday. Both the pool man and the gardener have access to the property, not to the inside of the home. Please be aware, so you are not startled or caught off guard as they come in unannounced.

TRASH AND RECYCLING:
Pick up is every Monday. For your convenience we pay the town extra for a walk in service. This means that the garbage service will take the two bins from inside the gate and place it outside the gate for pick up Monday morning. Monday evening they will return the bins to their original location.

SPA:
If you opted for the heater option for the pool and spa the pool will be set to 85 degrees on your behalf so that it is always warm for you day and night! Please do not touch any other pool equipment. Pool equipment is very expensive and any damage will result in service being billed back to you. Please use the remote left for you on the counter.

SPA HEATER:
You can set the heater as high as 102 degrees. This is a 400,000 BTU pool heater which is extremely strong. You only need the heater on for about 25 minutes to achieve a very high temperature. When finished PLEASE PLEASE remember to turn off the heater with the remote. Also please remember to let us know if you would like the pool heat and Jacuzzi heat prior to your arrival. We cannot guarantee the pool to be at any certain temperature if you don’t let us know. The pool will take up to 48 hours to heat up in the winter time. It is $150 a day for the heat. Includes a fireplace and a fire pit plus heat for pool and jacuzzi and the waterfall. We just need to know a bit in advance so we can pre-warm the pool for you. It takes up to 48 hours in the winter months If you prefer just the jacuzzi it’s $100 a day.
POOL & SPA LIGHTS:
Pool and Spa Lights are operated from the remote as well.
TV:
The house has Time Warner Cable (Spectrum) and the TVs are smart TVs for Netflix, Roku, Amazon Prime.
CHILDREN:
CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 17 ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE POOL AND YARD UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME. ADULT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES. Of course swim at your own risk.

PETS:
I am one of the biggest animal lovers around. We want to keep your pets safe 100% of the time. Please DO NOT under any circumstance leave your animals outside unattended. You are in the desert. Your animal will become pray to one of our local and normally harmless mountain animals that come down looking for food. Not to mention it gets VERY HOT in the sun year round. Your pet belongs inside. Unfortunately, we do not allow any other animal besides dogs at this property. There is a fee of $250 for animal waste left on the property and a $250 excessive cleaning fee if there is dog hair on the furniture. Please be responsible and ask your pet to stay off the furniture and enjoy his or her dog bed. Please no pups in the pool...
Please be sure to let us know before you arrive if you will have any pups with you (maximum 1 unless otherwise noted). Our gardeners and pool guys come on specific days but sometimes they adjust their days to accommodate the rental schedule, holidays and weather. We are not responsible for any issues while your pets are on property.

BBQ:
The BBQ has a refillable propane tank. If you run out of propane and need it replaced before we can get a new one to you, please send us the receipt and we will reimburse you for the gas.

WATERFALL:
Our waterfall is an amazing 25’ wall of tranquil water.
