Three Bears, Immaculate 2 Bed/2.5 bath suite, Heat/ AC & Washer/dryer

Relax in the serene Adirondack Mountains and be close enough to all the activities. The Lakeside at Loon Lake is only 15 minutes from Lake George Village and 15 minutes from the Gore Mountain Ski Area and Mountain Biking Center. We are an affordable, family property located directly across the street from the Loon Lake Public Beach, water fall and boat launch. Our accommodations consist of non-smoking self catering cabins, 2 suites in a duplex and the Loon House (our large main house). Amenities on site are shared: a rowboat, canoe, volleyball, horseshoes, and a play ground for children. All units have their own picnic table & gas grill. The village of Chestertown is two miles from the property. The town has numerous unique shops, , an ice cream parlor, major grocery store, pharmacy, and too many to mention. Within a ten mile radius, you can experience many types of dinning. Self-Catering means we supply your home for your stay while you supply everything else. Loon lake location
The property is directly across from the city Lake and has a Lifeguard on duty from 9a to 6p. Plenty of firewood for nights to ward off flys etc. Local store in walking distance, less than 1/4 of a mile...has great Ice cream etc. However if you're a Walmart customer it's in Queensbury 30 minutes away and crowed. There's another one in Provonton about the same distance but less crowded. We had rain everyday so the TV was great with internet wifi etc. You must Bring your own board games etc.

Exceeded our hopes!
We stayed in this lovely cabin for 2 cozy nights and everything about it was comfortable, clean and thoughtfully set up. We were expecting something more rustic but the place was stocked with kitchen items and lots of TVs with roku. Having access to our own private lake was dreamy, felt even better than being right in Lake George where all the tourists are. It was the perfect blend of remote and accessible to lake george or the other village right near by if you want some food or night life or activity. We all agreed would love to stay here again!

Not what expected
New owners, so a lot of the kinks need to be worked out, such as having laundry bags to put in the sheets since we had to strip the beds upon leaving. The property is located across the street so the new kayaks they provided had to be carried across the street. It wasn't a big deal, just giving a heads up on our experience. The one gripe we had is that they sprayed for mosquitos right before we checked in so the smell was not appealing.

Quaint, Quiet, and Lovely
We stayed here for 3 nights with our two daughters, 3 and 8 years old. The playground in the backyard was a big hit, as was the row boat that was available free of charge. We loved the personal fire pit and picnic tables too! The living room area was a bit small, but the bedrooms were nice, the kitchen was well stocked, and the outdoor space more than made up for it! Overall a terrific family getaway!

Year after year we have many of the same families return and we have also built many new friendships through the years. If you are every looking to buy in the area, Heidi is also a realtor specializing in resorts and 2nd home properties.

Why they chose this property

Loon Lake is one of the more beautiful lakes in the Adirondacks. It is fed by mountain streams as well as natural springs that keep the water moving all the time and in turns keeping it crystal clear. It is a small enough lake that is not commercialized, so this keeps the traffic on the lake to a minimum, but yet it is large enough to rent a boat and go skiing, tubing or fishing. There also is a beautiful sandy beach just a 100ft across the street from the Lakeside that has a lifeguard on duty all summer.

What makes this property unique

This property is a commercially registered property which is inspected by the NYS Department of Health along with our water supply. We hope this gives our guests that may be hesitant to book through this type of site peace of mind. :)
