Garden Apartment in Casa Solana Beachfront House

The Las Palmeras apartment is a tastefully furnished modern apartment; it is light and airy with soaring 12’ ceilings and an entire wall of glass doors and glass block in both the bedroom and living area. The grounds are completely walled and gated and the apartment opens onto a covered terrace overlooking the gorgeous aqua-marine coloured pool. The oceanfront terrace has plenty of room for hammocks and tables and chairs for dining. We are located right on the beautiful white sand beach of the Gulf of Mexico and 3 blocks from the Chuburna Puerto town square.

The apartment is ideal for a mature couple looking for a private, peaceful and relaxing get-a-way. It is very quiet and tranquil but has all the modern conveniences of home including a very comfy queen sized bed, ceiling fans, free wifi, and a full kitchen. We also have North American standard plumbing and electrical, a flat screen TV with a fire stick and a large selection of free movies (in English). Hammocks and beach towels are provided and air conditioning is available for an additional $5 US/night. Complimentary housekeeping service is provided once per week and additional cleanings are available for a nominal fee.

We have two very friendly dogs on site to welcome you. We call them guest services as they charm the socks off everybody! They are available to entertain you (or not) as you choose.

Chuburna Puerto is a charming little fishing village in the Yucatan. Known for its beautiful beaches and spectacular sunsets, this place is a breath of fresh air from the stress of daily life. You can walk for miles on our white sand beach, take a nap in your hammock or have a nice lazy swim.

For those of you that are into exploring, there are many Mayan ruins nearby, wonderful traditional Hacienda’s and beautiful under-ground sink holes called cenotes for swimming. Driving up the coast will reward you with many other little villages and 20 minutes away you will find Progreso, our port city. Here there is a much larger selection of restaurants and a full service grocery store. The amazing cosmopolitan city of Merida is 45 minutes away and it is a spectacular city ripe with culture, amazing architecture and museums and also provides shopping, restaurants and nightlife for those who cannot do without.

A beautiful, safe, quiet base to explore Yucatán

I loved my one month stay in this beautiful beachfront apartment. The host, Sonya, was so thoughtful, and always available to answer any questions. Lovely little spot to get away from it all!

Sonya is a friendly hostess and enthusiastically explains all you need to know about staying at her place. Her email directions were thorough (needed- it’s out of the way- Mérida region not Merida city) and she advises to pick up food in the nearest big town before arriving - again good advice; the local restaurants are pretty basic. Bedroom is great and there’s a lounge/kitchen room fully equipped. Bathroom is large and there always hot water! Chuburna is near the end of the lagoon (flamingos can be spotted) and the Mayan ruin Xcambo is a 30 min drive along the coast

We had a wonderful 20th anniversary in Mexico! This off the beaten path place is just the place for a romantic get away! The beach is beautiful, the sun warm, the apartment had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable.Be sure to ask Sonya to put you in touch with Emeliano for a massage, he is very professional and affordable! Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Casa Solana sehr genossen. Lage und Ausstattung waren hervorragend. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Gastfreundschaft und Fairness der Vermieter Sonya und Jeff. Angesichts einer kurzfristigen Flugzeitenänderung konnten wir erst einen Tag später anreisen. Obgleich der Vertrag fix war und die Anzahlung bereits erfolgte, wurde bei der Restzahlung diesem Umstand Rechnung getragen. Vielen, vielen Dank! Auch sonst ist die Gastfreundschaft der Vermieter sehr zu loben. Obwohl wir die Unterkunft zur Poolseite gebucht hatten, konnten wir während unseres Aufenthaltes die Meerblickterrasse des unbewohnten Seasideapartments benutzen. Großartig! Leicht lassen sich von dieser Unterkunft aus touristische Highlights wie Merida, Uxmal, Hacienda Sotuta de Peon oder Celestun erkunden. Wir werden diese Unterkunft sehr gern weiterempfehlen.

Wonderful Stay

Casa Solana was everything it was advertised to be. We stayed in the suite with the kitchen and it was furnished with absolutely everything. The bed was super comfortable which afforded us restful sleeps. The pool was a welcome relief on hot days as was the private beach where we aslo floated aroound in the buoyant osean. Our hosts Sonya and Jeff were so welcoming and accomodating and provided us with all the info we needed from restaurants to Mayan sites. You guys are the best!

Absolutely Perfect

We'd give the property (and the town) 6 stars if we could. We had a gorgeous week. The description is accurate, the pictures are real: it's exactly what it says it is. The beach is beautiful white sand, the waves are calm, the people are absent. We ate at a different little restaurant (almost) every day and had stellar food, every time. The property was very clean and neat and new. No complaints, we'd go back in a heartbeat. If you're thinking of staying anywhere close to this area, Casa Solana is THE PLACE to be!!

Beautiful, tranquil, exceptional!

This property far exceeds the description here. It is exceptionally clean, bright and airy. We didn't have to use air conditioning at all. The pool is wonderful and the beach is virtually private except for Sundays when locals congregate to enjoy the salt and sand. Spectacular sunsets make early evenings amazing; especially when we made dinner and enjoyed it on the terrace. The village has several little restaurants that serve freshly caught fish and the owners of these businesses always made us feel welcome and special! The village is safe and yiu can walk for miles on the beach. The owners Jeff and Sonya were most gracious and accomodating. They made sure we always had everything we needed and were a source of lots of information about the area. i highly recommend Casa Solana. We already miss it and look forward to next year.
