About this property

Your Perfect Getaway Destination - Fantastic views, walk, ride, wine, be!

Perfect group accommodation nestled in the beautiful Preston Valley.

Recently renovated, our charming farmhouse has room for everyone! The lodge includes a fully equipped large kitchen with sweeping views across the valley. It features a stove top, fridge, oven and all cutlery and crockery is provided. The kitchen overlooks the family room/lounge and dining area which has a woodfire for those cooler days and nights. This room overlooks the outdoor children’s cubby house and play area. A large sitting room with an inbuilt bookcase, second wood fire and kids corner is opposite the formal dining room which seats up to 6 people. There are 4 large bedrooms all with queen beds, one room also has 2 bunk beds. The lodge has two bathrooms both with showers, one of which is wheelchair accessible and the other has a bath.

Outside there is double gable carport and large barbecue area with a dining table and two bench seats to soak up some more of the amazing views. There is more comfortable seating around the verandah to enjoy a different outlook. Childrens cubby house is also ready for playing in and swings ready to be swung! We have a washing machine and dryer available for guests use also.

Wonderful weekend

A beautiful place to spend a weekend enjoying the serenity of the setting and all the wildlife. Especially loved listening to the black cockatoos and watching the 28 parrots flitting through the trees. Thank you for sharing your little bit of paradise.

Short summer holiday

Beautiful country lodge on rural property within 6 mins walk to Glen Mervyn dam for swimming and catching marron. Peaceful location with a few alpacas, chickens and lots of birds. Spot the kangaroos close to the forest in the early morning. Surprising few flies or mosquitoes. Lots to see and do nearby.

We had a fantastic getaway from the chaos of city life. Vickie is a very special host, that really makes you feel welcomed in her home away from home! A Golf Weekend with friends

We are a group of 7 mature age people who enjoyed the tranquility and peacefulness of the area. The place was clean, well equipped with kitchen needs and glasses. Our host Vicki was very helpful and obliging. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the back patio in the late afternoon, and took photos of the view of the valley and lots of birds.

A quiet & tranquil place perfect for big groups

It was a home away from home. Lovely pair of alpacas made the view even more wonderful. We saw kangaroos on some mornings too. The house is fully equipped with everything you need. Supply of drinking water is really a nice gesture that we so appreciate. It does get cold at night but there’s ample wood fire for us to use. Great place for big groups

Our time at Vicki Lodge was an enchanting escape. The house was luxuriously appointed with everything we could desire for a comfortable stay, from cozy furnishings to modern amenities. The landscape around the lodge was a panorama of beauty, with views that seemed to stretch into eternity, captivating us with every sunrise and sunset. The real gem, however, was the quaint farm adjacent to our retreat, home to a flock of gentle sheep, curious llamas, and a clucking chorus of chickens, offering us not just visual splendor but a touch of rustic charm that made our stay unforgettable.

A memorable stay

We couldn't be happier with our 2 night getaway at Vicki's lovely place. Easy to find and distance to local sights and was 15 mins from Collie and about 25 mins from Ferguson Valley. All the facilities you could want, clean and plentiful amenities plus a roaring fire to keep us warm. The toddlers had a blast on the playground equipment and toys. Being able to experience gathering eggs, feed the lambs milk and scraps to the chickens was also a unique experience. Thank you so much!

This is a lovely house with beautiful views from every room. Our little dog loved the freedom to run around and got a lot of enjoyment barking at the Llamas! Like every other review, it was lovely to arrive to a lit fire and a warm house. Vicki's communication was excellent.
