Quiet, peaceful and comfortable country cottage.

The Cottage is on a small acreage and is quiet and comfortable. It is spacious with unique features like an outdoor bath and a lovely rainforest driveway. Lots of wonderful bird and wildlife is to be found. The Crater Lakes National Park and several small towns are only 10 min away. The rainforest drive leads you to a wonderfully appointed cottage which is private and secluded. The cottage is nestled behind a bamboo fence an gardens with views to nearby hills. From the spacious patio you can watch the breathtaking sunsets and wonderful bird life. There is claw bath outside so you can enjoy the sounds of nature while indulging. Platypus viewing is a 5min drive and you might even see a tree kangaroo. Yungaburra [famous for their markets,4th Sat of the month], Malanda and Lake Eacham are only a 10 min drive.
If you want a private, peaceful, quiet and comfortable bona fide country experience with luxury thrown in, 'Wompoo Cottage' is the place for you. I hope to see you soon

Outstanding!

Beautiful property with a kind and welcoming host who provided organic food gratis. This is a superb location to visit areas in the Atherton tableland. The home was all we needed and joyful due to the birdsong, and the host.

Helen has made a delightful, homely and comfortable wee cottage in the most peaceful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish it was longer than just 3 nights. The fresh eggs, sourdough and homemade jams were a real treat. It is close to a lot of beautiful scenic tourist attractions. Highly recommended.
