Established and stately, the property is filled with lush ornamental gardens and centrally-located in one of Bermuda's most sought-after parishes. Next door sits the 35-acre Botanical Gardens, also home to Homer's Café and Masterworks Museum. Camden House, home of the Premier since 1770, has public tours throughout the week and located in the gardens.

The upscale neighborhood is close to the capital city of Hamilton, which is bursting with old world charm and a taste of a bygone era. There, you'll find restaurants, shopping and cultural sites to explore, including a beautiful cathedral, large park and historic post office. Elbow Beach, one of the best pink sand beaches the island is famous for, is only a 5-minute drive away.

Another neighborhood favorite is the Palm Grove Gardens, full of various palms and palmettos. Stay active and go for evening strolls or morning runs on the 18-mile Railway Trail located only minutes away. Start your day at one of the two local cafes, serving up hot coffee and delicious homemade goodies.

Gorgeous and untamed, Hungry Bay is just 5 minutes away and dazzles with picturesque views of the ocean and the best coastal mangrove swamp on the island.

This is a hidden treasure in Bermuda. I can no longer stay at the high priced resorts. This has a single cottage, a pool and right next to the Bermuda Botanical Gardens. Private and the hosts here very professional. I will only stay hete in future trips.

This location is close to Hamilton and Elbow beach. It’s a very nice property with a pool and tennis courts and an electric car charger. The bed is super comfy and the decor is up to date. The hosts are really nice respectful of privacy. I would highly recommend this property!

The cottage is adorable, beds were very comfortable, and location is very central for exploring the island.You can easily travel the entire island using a bus pass, cottage is very close to several bus stop options.Fabulous Café with great coffee next-door in the botanical gardens.Susan and Graham very helpful and friendly and are just next door if you need anything.

Bermuda is a beautiful Island!We very much enjoyed our stay and meeting the hosts.They were very nice and made us feel welcomed.We were close to the Horseshoe Bay Beach. We loved it so much we went there twice.Our cottage was perfect for two of us and the location was perfect. All the Bermudians we met were very nice and very helpful. Only 2 hours from JFK airport, NY and you feel like you are in paradise. Thank you to our host and the people of Bermuda!

We loved our stay at Banstead Cottage. It is a great location for going all over the island. Best if you enjoy mopeds! We relied on the buses and taxi's. It worked! The cottage was cozy and the patio delightful. A bit cool for the pool but we managed a dip on a warm afternoon. Susan and Graham are friendly and great hosts. The weather was quite changeable as it was March but for those of us from Boston, it was a welcome dose of warmth and beauty.

Lovey host, pool and property

The hosts could not be more lovely and the property and pool were great. The outdoor furniture could use an update or even setting up with cushions and sofa covers off would have made it more appealing. A few touches might go a long way... providing some beach chairs and a cooler because no one would bring that on vacation with them and it's no fun to go to the beach for the day with just a small towel. Also while there is a bathtub, there is not nearly enough hot water to ever fill it more than a couple of inches. On the plus side, the cottage is very clean and the bed was comfortable. The pool was lovely and inviting. Probably the best thing about the stay, other than their friendly and loving cat, Rory, who we adopted for the week! The rental has everything you need, but just seemed a little lacking in some extras that could have easily made that stay that much better.

Wonderful Cottage in Bermuda

We loved the very private cottage and pool in Paget! Susan was amazing, and had great communication. The pool was wonderful, and kept clean. The tennis court on the property was also a real luxury! We loved the grill (a nice Weber gas grill, much better than you would expect at most VROB rentals) and cooked fresh local Tuna right by the pool. We rented a Twizy, and. there's a charger conveniently located in the garage. The location is good, right next to the botanical gardens, although it is a bit far from the beach, so a moped or Twizy is recommended. We loved visiting Warwick Long Bay and Jobson's Cove, about a 15-minute drive from the cottage. You will be glad you booked this rental, especially if you like playing tennis and having a private pool to swim in afterward! A+

One of our best trips ever

My wife and I had an absolute blast. The key factor that enhanced the entire trip was our host Susan and her husband Graham. Susan provided just the right amount of day to day attention. When we had questions, she was very responsive. They were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The cottage was just as represented on the website. It was spotless. And although walkable to Hamilton, the beaches and right next to the Botanical Gardens, it is a very private location. We typically did day trips, ate lunch out and made our own meals in the cottage's fully equipped kitchen. Our trip was in late July, so of course it was hot. Coming home after a day of running around and being able to jump in our own private pool was really nice.

Wonderful Stay in Bermuda!

This was our first time to Bermuda. The cottage was home from home and the Hosts were the most gracious helpful people one could ever wish for. The cottage was clean relaxing and had all the amenities one could want on vacation, this together with the private pool and tennis courts in lush landscaped gardens made it a true paradise. We bought the estate because of its incredible location directly beside the Botanical Gardens and because of the properties beautiful gardens and tennis court. We have since completely rebuilt the large main house and adjacent cottage in the typical beautiful, Bermuda architectural style. We have spent the last few years upgrading the surrounding gardens into a lush, tropical landscape that rivals the Botanical Gardens next door.

The location of this cottage simply can't be beat. This much coveted location is located on a large estate and with a private pool, tennis court and professional gardens so guests can enjoy their very own paradise in tranquility and close to Hamilton. The cottage also has the incredible benefit of being directly beside the Botanical Gardens and around the corner from the Railway Trail. No other location in Bermuda can offer so much in one place.
