This place just keeps getting better. The newly renovated Red Cub Lodge is bigger, nicer and better than it has ever been before with room for the whole family. Brand new (2025) two story deck. At 1,300 sq ft, the new deck is the biggest and nicest room in the lodge. Space for 48 to dine on the main deck alone. Eight bedrooms, Seven baths. Two enormous Glamping Tents with King Beds. Brand new (Fall of 2024) deck with space for the whole family. Giant (25x50 ft) Warm Spring Fed Pool. Volleyball Court. TWO Competition Horseshoe Pits. Game Room. New Air Conditioning (Spring of 2024), and a GIANT (54cf) commercial fridge/freezer.... Oh yeah, did I mention the giant private pool and TWO hot tubs. Check in went very well. Owner was there to greet us and give us advice on the grounds and use of the pool and hot tubs.Kitchen was well equipped and family was able to cook and serve meals mostly on the deck.Faculties were great with so much we could do right on site.

We loved our stay! There were 33 of us, from 75 to 7, and we had a wonderful time. We loved the new deck and ate on it every meal. We had family gatherings on it in the evenings and even a dance party one night. We would recommend this house to all our friends. Check in and out was super easy and when we had a question about anything, it was answered quickly.

Perfect property for family reunion of all ages

Our whole group loved this property and we had a great time for our family reunion. Before our stay, the host was helpful to quickly answer any questions we had as we prepared to come. While we were there, we had some unforeseen issues that were out of the control of the host but he was quick to help resolve them for us. He was excellent and we would love to come stay again in the future.

Wedding weekend at the lodge

We had about 30 people staying at the lodge for 4 nights and we had our wedding ceremony and reception there. We couldn’t have asked for a better location! Everyone raved about the scenery and the amenities the whole time. No complaints!!

Favorite Family Reunion Cabin and Pool!

This has been our very favorite place to bring our family of 50! Amazing accommodations with bedrooms and bathrooms! There is so much to do right there-pool and 4wheeler trails and hike to waterfall. It continually gets better and better every year with the new improvements. The new deck was a huge hit for our dance party and eating and visiting. Air conditioning kept everyone cool and the new huge fridge and freezer was awesome! The host is also hilarious and fantastic! We appreciate everything that we can use in the garage for tools and extension cords too. Best experience yet and affordable. Thank you so much!

Great place

Overall this lodge is great; it worked well for our family reunion. We appreciated the onsite amenities and the spaces including the awesome deck and living room. The kitchen has lots of small appliances and a large fridge and freezer that was plenty of space for our group of 30. Loved the yard with the large weeping willows; throughout the day there was always some shade and some sun available, including at the pool. The lovely river has taller plants along the edge so it is somewhat shielded from runaway volleyballs. It should be noted that the basement (including "captains quarters" and "barracks") has no AC. We had to rearrange who slept in the captains quarters due to varying tolerances to that fact. Those who slept there set up fans in the windows at night and it wasn't bad.

What a gorgeous and quiet location! The sound of the Cub River rushing by and the birds are all we heard as we sat on the spacious deck to eat our meals. Beautiful willow trees, a large clean pool, hot tubs, lots of outdoor dining tables with shade,and glamping tents make for a fun, yet serene outdoor experience. Inside the house were bedrooms galore— the little book nook bedroom and rose room bedroom are so unique. I appreciated the double stoves, MASSIVE commercial fridge and freezer, and double dishwashers that helped me to feed our large crowd. The owner/caretaker was very friendly and dropped in with a gift of fresh strawberries and whipped cream- what a treat and so thoughtful! We are excited to stay again next year!

Idyllic Family Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our family reunion held at Red Cub Lodge. The venue was as described, with plenty of room for our large group, both inside and out. We particularly enjoyed the spring-fed swimming pool and dual hot tubs. The property manager was communicative and helpful. We will definitely consider staying at this lovely place again in the future.

A perfect place for our family reunion

We had 38:at our reunion. There were lots of things that our family lived ved about this location. They have lots of rooms and lots of beds. The secluded location with tons of shade trees really added to the experience. Our family really liked th pool and hot tubs. The glamping tents were a hit too

Fantastic Family Reunion!!!

We absolutely love this property! The swimming pool was a hit! Being able to ride our four wheelers right from the property was a hit! The beautiful yard and activities was a hit! And being able to sleep 50 people in beds was so awesome! We will be coming back for sure! This is our favorite spot for our family reunion. The updates made were great!

Endless amounts of fun!

Our big family had such a great time! Didn’t need anything extra to fill our time. The yard and swings were amazing! We rented this place for the yard and it did not disappoint. Thank you! The pool was amazing. We just wished that it had a lock on it to more easily keep the little kids out.

Fun Family Reunion

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge! The facility was more than ample for our group of 30. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals. The fresh water pool was a hit and a favorite activity. The babbling river, two glamping tents, fire ring, volleyball, horseshoe pits, beanie toss and beautiful natural surrounding all added to a most enjoyable visit. Great all around!

Our stay here was perfect in every way. Communication leading up to our stay was always quick and our questions always answered. Arrival was seamless and everything was as expected. The owner, who lives on site, was always there when we needed, but didn't intrude. The grounds were well kept and the whole place was beautiful. Everyone decided they would want to go back! Beautiful Location, Never wanted to Leave

The property was beautiful, and had enough activities to occupy adults and children for 4 full days. The lodge is not huge inside, but the distribution of bathrooms worked great! The living area was comfortable for meals and hanging out. Perfect for a family reunion. Looking forward to going back again.

Unforgettable Family Time

Our family --- children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren --- spent an unforgettable Labor Day weekend at the Cub River Lodge. The property itself accommodated all of us comfortably and provided plenty of room for whatever activity or quiet time we wanted to enjoy at the moment. The outside space is large and beautiful with so many things to do ... swim, swing, play volleyball or horseshoes, fish, or sit around a campfire making s'mores and singing together. We treasured our time and made memories that will stay with us forever.

Excellent family-oriented property.

Our family of 30 consisting of adults and children all voted to stay here again. The pool was pristine, the property well-maintained, and the sleeping arrangements ideal for our group. One of the owners lives on the property and was very responsive to our needs. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property!

We had our wedding here and the property was beautiful! The Lodge and grounds are just as amazing as the photos. Scott was very responsive and helpful during the planning process. The owner of the property lives above the garage and he was also very helpful and let us use his tools and other items to set up for the wedding.
