Country Cabin in the Woods

Welcome to the Country Cabin in the Woods. Surrounded by 160 acres of woodland, and a step away from Crown land with its breathtaking and expansive wilderness. 

Imagine relaxing by the toasty fire on a chilly day. Or putting your feet up and listening to the sounds of "nothingness" as you catch a warm breeze on the front deck overlooking the flower garden. Curl up with a blanket, read a book, listen to some music, watch the sky on those clear, starry nights. Experience whatever your personal definition of "tranquility" is.

For recreation enthusiasts, quadding and snowmobiling in the backcountry as well as seasonal hunting and fishing is close by.

In the Cabin you will find the kitchen fully equipped with basics, plates, cutlery, pots and pans, stove, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, fridge/freezer & microwave. Just bring your favorite foods.

Bathroom includes Sink, toilet and shower. Towels included for use during stay.

The living room is furnished with sofas, TV with DVD player, a selection of movies, board games and cards for your entertainment. The wood burning stove provides comfort and heat on those cold winter days. Split wood is provided.

Two bedrooms with cozy queen size beds, linens, blankets and pillows are provided.

Enjoy the flowergarden, pond and firepit around the yard. Split firewood is provided. BBQ is on the deck for all your grilling.

Guests rent the entire cabin and do not share with anybody else. We live on the property, but in a different residence away from the Cabin. We are available if needed, but respect your privacy.

Our cabin is good for couples, solo adventurers, artists, business travellers, or a weekend retreat.

Cozy, clean, secluded stay!We stayed at this property as we were attending a wedding at the wedding venue called Diamond in the Rough. It was about a 25 minute drive, the same distance/time to a hotel/motel in Olds. It was quiet, clean, unique, had many outdoor seating areas (some sheltered) and many amenities such as coffee for a few days!Outside was a fire pit area, a gazebo with seating and a small pond with a fountain.My husband thinks we should go back!

Great Weekend Getaway

An excellent property with everything you want for a weekend getaway. My wife and I stayed for our anniversary and it was fantastic. Everything you need is supplied, including firewood. It was -30 at night and -20 during the day. The wood burning stove kept the cabin very toasty. We even had a romantic fire outside. Very good property if you want to get away from it all!

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect place to decompress and get out of the city for a couple of nights. The cabin was very clean and full of thoughtful touches. We highly recommend it!

Amazing getaway

Just Amazing!!

I can't rave about Diana and her place enough! Its a beautiful location, beautiful scenery any just the cutest cabin! It has everything you could ever need or want in a home alway from home. Loved it so much we already booked our next getaway!

Our Get Away

Cabin was very nice and clean, pretty yard. bed is comfortable. Nice quiet location. Host was quick with responses to our texts when we checked in and when we were leaving. We would definately reccomend this cabin and location for anyone wanting to get away from it all.

Beautiful cabin with so much character

This is a beautiful property. Absolutely well kept and you can tell the owners really have worked hard and put a ton of effort into all the little details. The garden is incredible, and we enjoyed our time on their amazing deck taking in the scenery and sounds. The cabin is in incredible shape and really charming. Very clean and cozy!

Fantastic Alternative to Camping!

This was all the things we love about camping (being in nature, sitting around a fire, quality time with friends) with none of the things we hate (the packing up, noisy generators, dumping tanks). The property is adorable and as shown in the pictures. Lots of options for outdoor seating, comfy beds, cosy indoor space for bad weather and nicely equipped kitchen. Thoughtful host had provided lots of information and was available but not intrusive. Will definitely book again.

Actually Relaxing

This was just what we wanting! Seclusion and a wood heater. The place was clean and comfortable and lots of little extras. The owners are close by but not intrusive. I stayed at one where I felt I was being watched and the list of “do nots” was too much. They have thought of all the details! Thank you

The place itself was amazing even more beautiful then I expected. Both the accommodations and the yard are spectacular. We were only 2 people who are normally very low maintenance so the price at 550$ for the 2 nights was a little steep. Checking in after 4 and leaving by 11 you really don’t feel like you had 2 days. Lots to do in the area if you’re like me and enjoy creeks rivers and lakes. A 4 hour kayak down the clear water river was fantastic but more dangerous then I anticipated. Enjoy your stay people the cabin itself was 5 star. Jeff

Total Serenity.

The driveway up to the cabin is so tranquil. The property was as beautiful as the pictures and even more. What a gem! We never left the property.🙂 The deck/porch is big, covered and everything provided for a comfortable retreat outside. The inside of the cabin is also just as the pictures. Very well put together. A super area for all to socialize. All the conviences you would need. Everything is of great quality. The bedrooms are styled nicely. The beds are the best! So comfortable. You kinda hate to get out of them. I really can't say enough good things about the cabin and the property. We'll be back for sure! Diana, the host was easy to contact and helpful with directions. Thanks so much Diana for sharing this marvelous cabin and property.

Peaceful nature setting- delightful!

We really enjoyed the amazing setting that was so good for the soul. The cabin was bright, meticulously clean and super comfortable. The outdoor seating areas were incredible and added to our enjoyment . There was a wonderful pond feature as well with flowing water. The kitchen was nicely stocked . Rarely do you get such a deluxe electric kettle and teapots, bodums , drip coffee maker. Deluxe! We loved the nature walking trails on the property as well as patting the cute donkeys. There were cows in an ajacent field too and the moos delighted us. We even saw our first frog in a long time in a nearby pond ! The woodstove was amazing too as were the instructions. Diana & Brian have done a superb job! Kudos! Thank you ! Bonnie & Steve

Diana’s cabin was one of the most perfect little cabin get aways I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying!Immaculately clean & well put together as well as extremely beautiful and rustic. The property is unimaginably gorgeous with a lush garden and water feature and is so private and peaceful. It was perfect for bird watching with many local species visiting the trees around the cabin!I particularly appreciated the exquisite art and authentic art prints on the walls by actual Canadian artists rather than the usual mass-produced home sense garbage you see at most short-term rentals. Diana was also very responsive when I had questions and generous! Thank you!

Perfect little cabin in the woods

My wife, dogs and I had a lovely three day stay only 30 minutes from our favourite fishing holes and would highly recommend Diana’s cabin in the woods if you are looking for peace and tranquillity. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was plenty of bucked wood for both the wood stove and fire pit.

Beautiful location in the woods. Loved walking in the property. Found many interesting things to explore and take pictures of. We never left the property even though the weather was cool and rainy. Loved the water fountain and garden.
