We had the best night here! We loved the hot tub, fire pit and the quietness around us.It was close enough to town if we needed anything, but far enough away to be able to detach unwind and enjoy the nature around.Can't wait to make another trip back!
Our stay was great! Everything was as pictured, beds were comfy. The only downfall, and this is pure preference, but the water pressure in the shower was very weak. Beautiful place though & would definitely go back!
Big cabin on outstanding grounds. Quick walk to the river. We spent most of our time out by the fire pit enjoying the scenery and fireflies. Outstanding!!

My family and I enjoyed the stay. One thing we want to share is, two rooms are downstairs and it’s a little drive/ walk to the river (not bad.)The owners are a pleasure to deal with. If you’re staying in or around the area definitely check this location out. You won’t be disappointed.
We really enjoyed our one night stay in this cabin. We loved that it was off the main road, nestled in its own little corner with access to the river. So many things about it were unique, which is what originally drew us to it. Our children enjoyed the upstairs space and the interesting ladder to access it. They also enjoyed the hot tub and the pavilion with several swings to relax in while watching the river. It was exactly the experience we wanted to celebrate some important milestones of our sons. Our youngest, who isn’t a big fan of traveling in general, loved this place. That alone made the entire trip worthwhile. Thank you.
The cabin itself is comfortable and perfect for those who come to the area to enjoy all the outside adventures this area has to offer… During our time here (Thanksgiving) it was too cold for us to do a float trip, but we got in some hiking—the area is beautiful! We made good use of the grill and fire pit in the evenings and enjoyed the company of a couple friendly dogs and an adorable kitty who we assumed lived nearby. You will probably notice roosters nearby as well. Think rural and rustic with access to as much nature as you want - but still close enough to Pocahontas to get to stores and some restaurants. We appreciated all of the information provided in the cabin … we learned that there is lots of history around this area, we loved learning about it.

Peaceful cabin in the woods
Property was secluded and peaceful! Plenty of beds to spread out, and much appreciated having 2 bathrooms! Basic cooking utensils and a set of dishes were provided, although we did not use any of these amenities as we were not at the cabins for meals. The local hotel cannot compare to the comforts provided by having a full home with 3 bedrooms and a living room to relax and enjoy some down time. River access is within walking distance and stores/restaurants are a short 15-20 minute drive. A couple of things to note... It was great to have 2 full size bathrooms, however, the hot water only lasted through 2 showers, if you have a group of people you will need to spread out the showers a bit. Shower pressure was a bit low in the lower level shower, but still very much appreciated having the 2nd shower. Keep in mind the incredibly reasonable price on this property for a full 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it is not a luxury hotel, it is a cabin in the woods allowing some of the comforts of home while away from home. We expect we will stay here again the next time we are in the area!

Thank you for the review and we will be checking on that hot water for more showers !!! Can’t wait for you to come back and stay..
We loved the property it fit our family just fine. The teenagers loved the hot tub and bonfire . And us adults loved being able to sit around and talk. Only thing we all would like to see when we return is locking doors in the bathrooms. We will be back!!!
We had such a good time staying here at the cabin. We floated the river, and the owners/hosts were always available and accommodating. We will definitely stay again and will most likely bring more people next time!
Had a great time even though we stayed for work in neighboring town
Cabin was very clean,perfect for us. We were there for work in neighboring town. River is walking distance just a few minutes. Private area on river to picnic or kayak floats, also had an area for RV rental near the cabin. Wish we had time to float the river. Very relaxing, even though we were there for work.
Everything was great! Friendly and helpful hosts, very relaxed home and surroundings! Myself and a couple others were in a construction/drywall project in the area and this place was perfect!
Kitchen - baths - bedrooms was exactly what we needed - mush better than hotel living!
Would love to visit again when I don’t have to work the whole stay!
Our hosts were terrific! A++
