About this property
Chic, Cozy & Fun, Ski-in Ski-out, Great Location Stowe!
Awesome location- Ski-in/ Ski-Out to TollHouse Lift*, and in summer hike, mountain bike or sit by the pool right from the front door of our stylish townhouse. This location can’t be beat, so close to the best of Stowe's skiing and hiking and biking trails, restaurants, craft breweries, and shopping, in every season. Please note before reading on- absolutely no parties and no pets allowed. Split level 3 bedroom (each on own floor), 2 full baths, with foosball, fireplace, great table for board games by the fire, super-clean, great beds. We love staying in boutique hotels so we decorated our country home to feel like one. Beautiful setting, strong WiFi and fun space make this a perfect place to have a vacation or work-ation. Wood floors throughout with exposed beams, soaring ceilings in the main living spaces and lots of windows make this in ideal space to unwind in nature in a modern, stylish, décor. It's a flexible layout - great for a romantic weekend but also works great for groups of friends and families because each bedroom is separate and on it's own level. (note: we have enough beds to comfortably sleep 9 but that might feel a bit loud in the open plan living spaces so I list for 8. ) Primary bedroom has a king memory foam bed and ensuite bathroom, a computer desk and smart tv. Second bedroom has a queen memory foam bed and a twin daybed. Right next to it is the second bathroom. Lower level has comfortable sleeping for 4 with twin daybeds and trundles, all with memory foam mattresses. (Note: bathroom is up a small flight of stairs). This room also doubles as a family room - a great space for kids to watch movies on the smart tv/blu ray/dvd player and play games. Memory foam mattresses in all rooms have layers to achieve temperature control, and we use hypoallergenic bedding and pillows. Guests frequently tell me how much they love the beds! Bedrooms have room darkening cordless cellular shades for great sleeping-in.
Kitchen is beautifully appointed for cooks, if you decide to not go to one of the amazing local restaurants nearby. Stainless steel appliances plus microwave, french press and drip brewer for coffee, 4 slice toaster, coffee grinder, blender, enough dishes, cooking and serving pieces to enjoy dinner at home. Farmhouse table comfortably seats 10.
The adjacent open plan living area includes a cozy built-in conversation pit in front of the new, heat generating, gas fireplace. There are plenty of books for you to borrow, comfy seating for 8-10. Flick the switch and a warm fire blazes without the hassle of having to build it or put it out. The 65 inch tv with cable as well as a bluray and smart tv, can be easily rolled in front of the fireplace area for cozy movie nights. The second part of the living space has a foosball table and a place to set one of Vermont's amazing craft beers down while you play.
We have a second floor patio - a beautiful spot to look at the trees, read and have a coffee or tea. In the back is our large ground level paved patio with zero gravity recliners, long table with 6 chairs and charcoal Weber grill (before the snow comes).
A plus is the extra large shed with a lock adjacent to the mudroom to easily park your bikes, or lock up your skis. This second entrance, 'Mudroom', has space to hang your coats, store your ski accessories and your boots- rain or snow. It also has a dryer so you can dry your wet gear when you walk in.
There is also a fabulous, very large, pool (open mid June to Labor Day) with plenty of lounge chairs, grass to play on, and eating tables, about 3 minute walk down the driveway.
We love discovering great trails, swimming holes, restaurants and bars, and are happy to offer advice and recommendations. The mudroom door has a keyless lock.
Parking is outside and there is a little paved path to front door- and beautiful gardens and landscaping in the summer
Located at the base of the Toll Road and Toll House Double ski lift*, we have a prime ski in ski out location in the winter- *when there is enough snow. There is also a shuttle stop right at our entrance off rte 108 if you want to ski outside of lift operating hours or there is not enough natural snow. In the summer, hike/bike on the 50+ miles of single and double track Mountain Biking trails in Stowe, and access to all that the mountain resort and surrounding cross country and mountain bike trails have to offer. We are also .75 miles from the trailhead to famed Bingham Falls/ swimming hole, the Cross Country center and it’s vast hiking/biking trail system, and 1 mile from the trailhead to the Stowe Bike Path. Too many great restaurants, bars, breweries in close proximity to mention here, but I'm happy to offer recommendations!
* check the Stowe Mountain website for Toll House Double lift operations schedule. There are three trails to ski back home when there is enough snow- the beginner Toll Road, The Stowe Derby Trail (which goes almost to our front door) and the steep and more difficult Powerline Trail.

About the host
Hosted by Erica Stern Klein

I live in Santa Monica, CA, but am originally from Montreal. My late father, a passionate skier, fell in love with Stowe in the late 40’s and my family had a weekend house here as long as I can remember, until my parents retired here full time about 20 years ago.
As much as we also love California, My husband, son and I are all in love with this town and spend about 3 months of the year here. It never gets old for us: We have a long list of favorite spots and are still discovering new, hidden gems. Stowe gives us what we love most: Beautiful trails for hiking, and snow shoeing, world class skiing, accessible swimming holes and lakes for fresh water swimming, calming, bucolic vistas, and quiet. We also appreciate that there are countless options for inventive and high quality locavore food, breweries and drink experiences- which we also love. Stowe has the best of all worlds! We have wanted to own our own place in Stowe and when our unit became available we jumped on it, knowing that the access to all the mountain has to offer is an unparalleled opportunity enjoy the best of Stowe for us- and our guests when we are not here.
