About Michelle Kitchen
My husband & I along with our cat live on this 1.3 ha lifestyle property on the outskirts of Omarama. My husband works full time while I look after our grounds & visitor accommodation. We are active third lifers enjoying the big outdoors, camping, fishing, boating, walking & skiing.
Why Michelle Kitchen chose Omarama
This property is unique, we have a small vineyard with 144 Pinot Noir vines, 6 chickens & 5 Merino lambs, large park like grounds with maturing trees & spectacular views over rural land out towards the Benmore Ranges. Easy access off SH 8 - Christchurch - Queenstown road, only 20 meters from the road.
What makes this Guest House unique
Flat easy access, no stairs or step gradients into the guest cottage. Spectacular rural views over farm land out toward nearby mountains (snow topped in the winter), all day sun. Amazing night sky with millions of stars. A2O bike trail runs past the gate.

Our stay at Omerama
This was the best accommodation we stayed in on our trip to New Zealand and it was lovely meeting Michelle.
Thank you John for your lovely review.
It was a pleasure to have you stay, I am pleased you enjoyed your stay & our guest accommodation.
Excellent overnight stay
We were thrilled with this accommodation; such a warm welcome from Neville and Michelle and a really comfortable, clean modern place to stay. The breakfast was delicious - we hard boiled the eggs and buttered the tasty bread and ate it for our picnic lunch in Geraldine en route for Christchurch airport! The view from the property was beautiful and the road ‘noise’ virtually non existent. Don’t hesitate, just book!
Nice stay for great walkings
Pretty accomodation and well located enabling to visit lakes and mountains out of the crowd. Only inconvenient is the proximity of the road, mostly in the morning, but Michelle is doing the must!
Thanks Marc for your review.
Any road noise is minimized once you are inside the guest house due to the double glazing & up specked insulation, it is very quiet at night.
Such a lovely stay!!
We had an amazing stay! We felt so welcomed upon arrival. The space was very thoughtfully decorated and stocked. Breakfast was delicious!! We couldn’t be happier! :)
