We were a party of 8 and we really enjoyed our stay. The highlight is to sit on the terrace in the evenings. We needed about 30 minutes to Yosemite. We would definitely recommend this house for holidays!

Great property for our Yosemite getaway
Really glad we picked this property for our Yosemite getaway. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen essentials - spices, pot & pans, grill utensils etc. I esp loved how everything was labeled (with emoji even!) and easy to find. Rooms were comfortable & it was just the right amount of space for us - 2 couples and a baby. The location close to the gate was great as we visited Yosemite Park almost everyday. The last day however we did take advantage of the community lake and marina area which turned out to be a highlight of the trip! The hosts were absolutely lovely. A one point there was an issue with the A/C and the owners were super responsive and the problem was fixed right away. Would stay again!

Thank you Alyson. You were a responsible guest. Looking forward to hosting Alyson next time.
This is a nice home close to the entrance gate at PML. The home was clean and well
Laid out. My only complaint is not about the home or the owner. There are two lanes to enter PML, one with key cards and the other visitors, even if the visitor has a placard showing they have already checked in with the security guard. The line for the visitor entry can get very long and it can take 20, 30 minutes waiting to get back into PML to the home you rented even though you already have a visitor placard. The line is there most every afternoon and evening.
Perfect place for family to relax and explore Yosemite
Family of 4 stayed here mostly to tour Yosemite. The Yosemite entrance is bout 30 miles away, but this made for a perfect base camp and easy day trips. The home was clean the communication with the host & check was great. Pine Mountain community was nice - we did spend one afternoon at the beach at Pine Lake. No issues with being a rental at the gated community. The town of Groveland also had several resurants and a good grocery store just minutes away.
We loved our stay the house it self was in an amazing location. We enjoyed the lake and overall feel of the location. The house it self was a little dated and dingy but nothing that would make me not come back in the future. We saw a young buck a few time during our stay. Bed were not super comfy but it’s better than camping lol
The beds were comfortable, it had all the facilities we needed, and the owner was extremely responsive and friendly.

Perfect base for family trip to Yosemite.
We enjoyed the house as our base for exploring Yosemite, about 30 min. drive to the park entrance. We found every thing we needed to make our stay comfortable. The house was clean and comfortable. Enjoying meals and playing cards on the deck was a great way to spend time together as a family before and after our hikes. We would stay here again. And thanks for the bottle of wine!

Great location in gated community
House location was nice. Home could use some updating. Cleaning before the guests arrive would be a good idea. Spray for spiders too. Add a toaster to list of kitchen items to purchase.

Felt just like home
Me and my family enjoyed staying at your home for a few days. Our first impression was the cleanliness and how it felt so welcoming with the ac running already, we were so tired and hot from an 8 hour drive, so when we felt the cool ac we were all sooo happy. Our first day there was very nice and relaxing, since check in was at 4pm we didn’t have much to do but we decided to check out the beach and it was amazing. We ended up going there 2 more times. Our main reason for this trip was to visit Yosemite, it was an 1 1/2hour drive up there taking the 120 road. Yosemite was beyond beautiful, the trees, mountains, waterfall, and just everything it had to offer. We visited Yosemite falls, bridal veil falls, and walked a 4 mile hike to see the beautiful sequoia trees. We also got to see a bear cub, and deers in front of our cabin when we where out on the deck early morning. Our whole experience and stay was amazing and recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home. 💜

Convenient - Just right for family vacation!
Great location - Convenient to perfect swimming lake beach, close to Groveland town and easy drive to Yosemite sites. Very spacious for a two bedroom home. High speed wifi can keep you connected, but you'll want to stay off the grid and enjoy the natural setting.

The Gate House
We rented the Gate House with our good friends for my birthday. The Gate House was very clean and comfortable. This gated community has a beach and a lot to offer families. We had dinner at the Iron Door Saloon, the food was good and the atmosphere was fun, we went to Yosemite, which is 1/2 hour to the gate entrance. Bring your patience lots of traffic and people. Even those we were among the other million people we really enjoyed ourselves. Again we had a very nice stay and would absolutely return and refer our friends.

Cosy family house perfect for visiting Yosemite.
We had a lovely stay at this cosy villa in Pine Mountain Lake, Groveland. It was clean, spacious and just perfect for our family of six. The house comes with all the amenities and a well-equipped kitchen.
It is located 30 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite NP; another 30 minutes to Yosemite Valley.
We only stayed a couple of nights, nowhere nearly enough to explore Yosemite! PML is also a beautiful area, with plenty of activities to keep everyone busy.

Great property - the house is decent and clean and roomy enough for our family of 7.
Nice property. Not the quietest (on the deck - inside I didn't notice a thing) as it sits right by the main entrance. Home is spacious and clean. Suited our purposes (for a family of 7) perfectly! No toaster or measuring spoons/cups (had just about everything else though! ;)
Not as close to the marina as I had hoped (20 minute walk) but we did enjoy the marina quite a bit - kids loved it! Swimming, kayaking, tour boat, etc. Great location.

Perfect, peaceful spot!
House was great! Clean, well kept and set in a ideal location to visit adorable town of Groveland, take advantage of the lake that was beautiful, or drive into Yosemite village for the day. Only 1 1/2 hours to Curry Village, 5 minutes to town, and 2 minutes to the lake. Lots of deer, squirrels and stellar blue jays around the area. We loved this property and have discussed when we will rent it again!

Outstanding Value near Yosemite
Very comfortable, clean home with substantial living space. Nice deck with reasonable privacy for barbecuing. Approx. 30 min. easy drive to Yosemite NP. Owner graciously provided a complementary bottle of wine and was very responsive, with a short-notice rental. Priced VERY well for what you get - compares more than favorably with a hotel "room". Don't even bother with a hotel - total ripoff.
Krishna called to ensure stay at his home was smooth.
cons, and they are minor:
- check in time at 4:30 pm is a bit on the late side, esp if you're driving around with a carload of possessions and are at a loss to know how to keep it safe
- check out time of 10 am is a bit early. you sleep-in types know what I mean
- you need to leave the gated property and circle around to the gate when leaving, as you are obligated to take the trash to the complex's dumpster. You are asked to perform some very light housekeeping duties, in spite of paying a fee for cleaning. No big deal, but you certainly wanna build this into your schedule, considering the early check out. But, for the very reasonable price of a nightly stay, it's certainly not asking a lot.
- the complex charges you $20 for your stay for "use of facilities" associated with the lake, etc. Frankly, I paid extra for beach rental equip and for dining at their "premier" restaurant at the golf club. So, I'm not really sure why they levy this fee. No, it's not much, but, if you extend your stay at another property in this complex, you will have to pay the $20 again. Seems bogus, but what do I know? All in all, the price of this property is a bargain and the area is quite beautiful.
- one nit - there is no toaster in the kitchen (that I could find, anyway)
If you are looking for fine dining, forget about it. The area is relatively bereft of choices. Steer clear of Buck Meadows restaurant, approx 10 mi. away on the road to Yosemite. You are way better off cooking at home. That said, the Groveland Inn had some pretty decent food, although both of my initial choices were sold out. But the food was quite good there, in spite of that.
There is an area market that is well-stocked. Don't buy beef there - it is very tough. Instead, take a drive to Sonora - a good-sized town with numerous restaurants and large grocery store(s).
All in all, this stay was worth every penny! My GF concurs.

Cute mountain home close to Yosemite
Cute, clean, close to Yosemite, convenient to town, and with access to Pine Mountain Lake a short drive down the street--we were very happy staying at the "Gate House." Went for a swim and had snacks at the Lakeside Cafe our first night there, then made the 30-minute drive to Yosemite in the morning. After a long day of hiking it was great to come back and lounge on the beach and then return to the house for a peaceful night's sleep. Definitely recommend this property!

Yosemite Vacation
Our family enjoyed our stay in this home. We had plenty of room for a family of 5 and everything was very clean. We were very comfortable and the location was great - close to the local grocery store and other local amenities. The Pine Meadow Community is wonderful also. Since we spent our few days there at Yosemite we didn't have time to take advantage of all the facilities in the community (tennis courts, lake with very nice beach...). A great getaway home. The owners were very nice and answered any questions and got back to us within a day as when we were making our travel arrangements. Thank-you Mr & Mrs Krishna!
