LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Centrally located on a quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac in the Miracle Mile, minutes from nearly everything worth seeing in LA.
Six bedrooms are inside the main house. The seventh is a detached guest house in the backyard with its own ensuite bathroom, reached by a short walk across the yard. It is one of the seven bedrooms, not an extra room in addition to them.
SLEEPING - 3 king rooms, each with a private ensuite bathroom - 3 queen rooms - 1 room with 2 single beds - A crib is available
Everyone in your group gets a real bedroom and a real bed. Nobody is on a sofa in the living room, and nobody is queuing for a bathroom, which is the usual trade-off in houses that sleep this many.
THE HOUSE Double doors open to a dramatic high-ceilinged entry hall with a sweeping circular staircase. The living room has a bay window and fireplace. The kitchen has granite counters and a center island with a Viking pro cooktop, plus a new refrigerator and freezer, and looks onto the family room with its coffered ceiling and second fireplace. There is a sun-drenched dining room with a table that seats the whole group.
A spacious sunroom wrapped in windows opens onto a private hedged and paved yard with outdoor seating and a grill. The primary suite has a fireplace, a bright bathroom with double sinks and dual shower heads, and its own private porch.
Hardwood floors, central air conditioning, recessed lighting and a home security system throughout.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD Museum Row is one block away: LACMA, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the La Brea Tar Pits, the Petersen Automotive Museum and Craft Contemporary. Urban Light, the lamp post installation outside LACMA, is one of the most photographed spots in the city.
The Grove and the Original Farmers Market are about a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive and Downtown are all short drives. The new Metro D Line subway station at Wilshire and Fairfax is a 5 minute walk and reaches Downtown in about 20 minutes.
PARKING Three cars at the house: two in the driveway and a third parked parallel between the sidewalk and the street. There is no street parking directly in front of the home. A fourth car can park on Spaulding, north of 8th Street only. Message me and I will send a diagram.
CHECK-IN AND CHECKOUT Self check-in with a lockbox, so you can arrive on your own schedule. Early check-in and late checkout are free whenever the calendar allows. Our cleaning crew needs 5 to 8 hours to fully turn the house over between stays, so I cannot promise it at the time of booking, but message me a few days before you arrive and I will confirm what is possible.
Checkout is simple: return the keys to the lockbox. No stripping beds, no laundry, no chore list.
A NOTE ON THE STREET The home sits on a very quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by families and school-aged children, and the neighbors are sensitive to noise. No loud music or noise after 10pm, no parties or events. As long as you are respectful of the home and the neighbors there will not be any issues.

The house is nice and is ideal for a family vacation. The trip was my wife and I and our 3 children ages 2 to 9 and my sister and her husband and their 4 teenagers. It had plenty of rooms that were of good size and almost all of them had their own bathroom. There was a crib for my 2 year old. The place was clean and had a lot of small amenities that you don’t think about. Josh made sure there was plenty of laundry detergent, paper towels, garbage bags etc. The kinds of things that are annoying when they’re missing. There was a nice sunroom and plenty of different seating areas downstairs and outside for everyone to sit and hang out. The location is great, a block away from the La Brea tar pits, Peterson Automative Museum, LACMA, etc. Check in and check out were super smooth and Josh let us check in early and check out late based on how his reservations lined up. All in all, great visit and I’d highly recommend it for any large family trips.
The owner addressed all concerns and made sure we were happy with our stay. For the record the issue we had, had nothing to do with property but he took care of us anyway Thanks
My family and my sisters family all stayed with plenty of room. There is one bedroom on first floor if stairs are an issue. Owner was easy to reach.
One tip: top lock turns right to open, bottom lock turns left to open.
We had a family wedding in L.A. We rented this home for four nights. Nine adults and two kids under five. It was the perfect spot. Clean, huge, air conditioned during a heat wave, walking distance to LACMA. Perfect! Our host, Josh, was amazing. During the whole process, from booking three months ahead of time, to answering any questions accurately and immediately, he was a gentleman and assured us of our rental and its features. I would do this again in a heartbeat. Thank you Josh!
My family and I traveled for a wedding. We had visiting family and friends and this spacious home allowed for everyone to hang in the same room as well as break off into separate groups.Kids were able to run around in back yard with no worry of them ending outside. The skylights were my favorite part. Ceiling’s are high and rooms are spacious we never felt cramped. If another trip is needed I would definitely do this house again.Manager was easy to work with and always available if needed. All in all great stay
The house had a great location especially if you are wanting to do things in Hollywood area. You could walk to several different museums and parks. We had a family of 11 with 3 different families and a grandma. (7 Adults and 4 teens). There was a bathroom in each of the adults bedrooms and one for the kids to share. The only downside was the kitchen is lacking on pans (cookie sheets) and a few other things and the house is a bit run down. But that aside it was a great house.
I had a memorable 60th birthday weekend in LA and staying at the Mid-Wilshire property made it all possible. From start to finish, Josh was very accommodating and very responsive to my messages. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a nice quiet neighborhood on a quiet street. Just a couple tips for future residents: parking is limited with only 3 spots and no street parking. The place is spacious, clean but aging - please don't expect a new home. It is walking distance from the Grove and short driving distance to everything you will need.
We stayed at this property, as a family of 10, for a week in July 2025. The location was phenomenal - central to all tourist areas in LA, easy to get to, etc. We had 2 vehicles with us - parking in the driveway was so convenient. The house was spacious and well equipped for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with any kitchen tool, dish, equipment you could think of for making meals t home. Josh provided towels, soap, toilet paper, all of the essentials, so that you felt at home right away. I loved the fact that there was laundry on site, we used the washer/dryer throughout our trip. The beds were so comfortable - phenomenal. Josh checked in on us a few times throughout the trip via text, just making sure we had everything we needed, asking if we had any questions, etc. The few times I did have questions, he was super prompt in replying. Overall an amazing stay, I would highly recommend booking this property.
This space was perfect for a large family get together. It is hard to find a place with these many bedrooms and bathrooms. There was a plenty of living area space for everyone to hang around. The kitchen is very large and well equipped. Host is very friendly and always on top of things. The location is also very convenient and walkable to many groceries and restaurants. Overall it was a great experience.
The property manager was very accessible and helpful. The neighborhood is lovely and safe. There were so many amenities and household items at the house- paper towel, toilet paper, dishwasher pods. Great sunroom. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. It was the perfect place for our large group of adults and small children to rest and play.
We were in town for our son's graduation from USC. This location was a reasonable distance from the airport and campus, and in a fun location for museums, not far from the beach, etc. It is seven bedrooms with six baths so that was the main reason we chose this property. Josh was an excellent owner/host. He was available for check in and made sure everything worked well. We had one issue with a shower in one bathroom and he had his maintenance person there within a couple of hours to fix it. There are large gathering spaces in the house that were nice for a large group. We would go back!
My entire family (all 11 of us) stayed at this property from Dec 22-25, 2019 and were thoroughly impressed with the location and ease of getting around. It is within walking distance to the tar pits which is where several bus tours stop, so if you sign onto a tour, like we did, it is very convenient to stroll over to the tour stop and hop on. Communication with the owner was a breeze and the house was very clean. We would definitely stay there again the next time we are in Los Angeles.
Property is really good, great neighborhood, loved the kitchen, loved the artistic taste of the host, comfortable and cozy place, liked the beds they were comfortable, kids loved the place.
The downside I feel is the parking, it’s too tight, no outlet to charge your car as the garage is locked, you give the host prior notice to get access. My big issue was the water for shower as there are multiple bathrooms but I would say at a time only 3 might work well for shower. As we were large group it was really inconvenient. When mentioned this and other items we found in the house to the host, he said my expectations were “out of wack”!
Host offered me a credit after 1st day and asked to leave the place in a hour, we came for 3days and Had tight schedule we didn’t have time to relocate and find a new place we just stayed there.
Great place but not great experience, will not go again.
Well maintained home in Mid Wilshire walking distance to museums, etc. Lots of room. Host was available and extremely helpful. We would definitely book again for our next LA family gathering.
This property is very nice and very well furnished! We did have a few shower/water pressure issues, and the property was not ready until 1 hour after check-in time, but our experience was good overall.
