Host Thom had the home ready for early check in and was readily available by text when needed! Home was cute, clean and comfortable for our party of six.Enjoyed our stay! Mahalo Hilo
The house was a good size and at a decent location not far from downtown Hilo and on the way to Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park. The house is a bit on the older side. Although it doesn’t have AC, we didn’t need it in early September as there are fans in every room and it cooled down at night. There is an invasive frog on Hawaii and it croaks really loudly at night so I recommend taking ear plugs or ear buds to wear. The property manager was very responsive whenever I contacted him.
The home is in a great location. Very spacious for my family of 4. Check in process was easy. The only issue we had wasn't with the home. The neighbor's dogs barked all night. No control over that.
This house worked really well for our family of five as a base to explore the Hilo area. It has a big backyard which was fun for the kids to run around in. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room is comfortable. It is located at a relatively busy neighborhood street. The three bedrooms were great to spread out and we appreciated the two bathrooms.
This location was perfect for navigating to and from the island beaches, food and shopping. A cute little home on a good size lot. My family and i truly enjoyed working with the property manager and the stay was much needed.
We have family a street over so it was nice to be in close proximity to everyone. Nice house , just closed the windows and the coqui frogs weren’t a real bother at night to sleep .
This house was perfect for our family of 6. It was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Our children enjoyed sleeping in separate rooms and they loved the huge yard. If you’re in Hilo with your family we’d definitely recommend this property!!!
The Property owner/host, Thom is a phenomenal communicator and makes you feel at home right away. He helps with anything you need, from finding the best bike shop, to what restaurants to visit while driving around the island.

Perfect Vacation Home
Thank you for the fabulous time in Hilo! it was my 1st time on the Big Island and I loved the local food, beaches, turtles and fish, farmer's market, movie theater, and Volcano! This island has it all. So does this home- loved the shower downstairs, the awesome fans, the breeze through the windows, and the chirping frogs at night. I can't wait to come back!
Everything was great, house clean with all needed anemities . Only minus was getting in and out of drive you practically had to reverse out onto busy street .

We absolutely loved this place! The host was wonderful and kept in touch if we needed anything. Property is beautiful, clean, and has everything you need. Close to all Hilo entertainment and dinning options and plenty of parking for two/three cars. Large backyard, with grill and fruit trees. Thank you so much for sharing with us. We will be returning!

Hilo trip
All in all this unit was clean & well stocked with amenities. Only issue was the barking dog across the street, I know not much can be done but it was difficult to hear the TV without boosting up the volume. Good location close to eateries, grocery stores & gas stations. Will plan on staying next year if unit is available.
Nice home with all the amenities. Comfortable beds, front room, dining room, kitchen. Very close to Hilo and saddle rd. Thom is very kind and extremely helpful. We look forward to next year.
We loved the convenience of being in town and ease of getting to and from. One draw back was the street it's a major road with large trucks, and local traffic so reversing into the driveway requires skill and patience. We were grateful to spend time with my family and the house was comfy, had a large kitchen to cook, and the backyard was a perfect retreat. A great house to stay at in Hilo. We will definitely rent the property again when we come home to Hawai''i. Thank you Evolve, Thom, and VRBO.
This home was large enough to accommodate 4 adults and is very simple and homey. Loved the big yard and being able to sit out back and enjoy the birds and lizards. Didn't need an alarm clock in the morning as the neighborhood chickens made sure we were up. The home has everything one needs to make meals with an outdoor grill available. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone that wants to be close to convenience and shopping.
The property is well kept and clean and it met our needs for the weekend. Thom was excellent. Only drawback the greenery needs to be cut back a little more on the right side. It is hard to see oncoming traffic when coming out of driveway. Other than that we enjoyed our stay here very much.

All kitchen ware available. No need to buy anything for washroom.
Overall a little bit wet feeling for people from dry climate area. If there's exhaust fan for washroom would be better.

House was nice and spacious located in a safe neighborhood.
The only problem I had is that I wasn’t aware that the shower in the house wasn’t working only the shower outside by the laundry room. Over all everything was fine and expected had no other problems.

Hi Samiuela, the homeowners have asked us to share this response:
Thank you for your comments. The house has two indoor bathrooms, and both showers are working. There's a lip on the spout that you pull down to start the shower. We did have marine tape over the soap dish mount as it is in process of repair, and we apologize for any confusion that may have caused. We're glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise!
