Very spacious and welcoming. Lots for kids and families to do at the cabin as well as around the property. Close to shopping and entertainment. We had a blast and didn't want for anything.

No propane, and dirty bed...
This is Andy Daniel I stayed at walnut hill hideaway. The bedroom on right side as soon as you come in had semen stains on underside of bed spread. I understand this is something that was obviously missed by the cleaning crew but it definitely grossed out my wife and made for an unpleasant evening having to find some other blankets to use over the sheets which she demanded be washed first before using. Other thing was we got back to cabin the first evening of our stay to grill out Burgers and I immediately noticed the valve on the propane was left on and not turned off and on top of that one of the control knobs on the grill was turned to on instead of off and propane bottle was completely empty. We went into town to find a place to do a bottle exchange but wanted to make you aware of a couple of issues that I'm sure stemmed from the cleaning crew not noticing and checking stuff good enough. I played a lot of money to have to deal with these two issues...

We are very sorry you did not have a good experience. We strive for cleanliness and guest happiness. If you ever have a problem while at our cabin you can call, and we will solve any problem you have. We keep propane tanks on hand. We would have brought one over within ten minutes. We have people on call 24/7 to ensure the best experience. We hope you might try our beautiful cabin again in the future.
Truly appreciate the hospitality of the owner of the cabin. They had all we needed there. Just needed the food!
Very welcoming and clean. We will be returning once a year!
We had 4 families this trip and this cabin was perfect. It offered 4 master suites almost identical. A loft upstairs for sleeping with games and a TV, a huge outdoor deck, lots of space outside for all of the kids age 3-13 to find something to do and my favorite thing, a huge open floor plan with a large dining room/kitchen/living room that allowed us all to be together. The Wifi and cable was great too and not spotty like a lot of cabins we’ve been to. Great location. Lots of amenities! We def will be back!
Our 1st time coming to stay in this area. Absolutely beautiful!! I liked that everyone had their own private area (bed/bathroom), kids stayed upstairs just shared a bathroom with the parents. My only dislike is the condition of the ROADS…they were horrible, big huge holes in the road. Thankfully we traveled in big size trucks (F250 & 2500 series) but my sister was in a BMW car which was a test…but they made it through fine! Would be an even better area with nice smooth roads. We will be back soon though!!
The cabin was amazing and had everything as needed for a great family vacation. However, we didn’t realize it would be SO close to other cabins—which meant loud music and noise deep into the night that was not super enjoyable. More seclusion would have been preferable, simply due to overlapping noise of several large groups nearby.
Overall our group of 6 adults, 4 kids had a good time. For our group of 10, This is our 4th stay in a cabin in Broken Bow. While the cabin was okay, we did notice a need for improvements. Cabin, in general, could use a freshen up. Some of the TVs didn’t work, bed linens could use an update & replaced, couple chairs around fire pit broken, cabin could use fresh coat of paint, couple lightbulbs were burnt out, had hard time getting fireplace to work. Property management only left some soap in bathrooms, no other “amenities” nor welcome “treats”, like some other cabins we’ve stayed at in past.
The property is as advertised. Spacious, clean and with several options to entertain children at home. A stone's throw away from hiking and swimming. The owner was responsive and receptive to questions and feedback. Would come back in a heartbeat!
The property was exactly what was shown in the pictures, and the playground outback was a favorite of our little ones. We thoroughly enjoyed the large open area, and the four separate master bedrooms were wonderful. One family stayed in the upstairs loft, and they would have appreciated a shower in the half bath up there, but sharing downstairs made it work.
I would recommend bringing extra towels and paper goods. I brought my electric griddle and should have included my hand mixer. If you are cooking your meals in house like we did, make sure you bring all the necessary spices. They had plenty of serving utensils and bowls, and pots and pans.
We ranged in age from nine months to 82 years, and a good time was had by everyone. The July heat and humidity were horrible, but the air conditioning worked perfectly. I would rent this cabin again!

Great cabin but several issues
The cabin itself is great. Very spacious & pretty. The roads coming into it are so terrible, lots of cars are getting torn up & needing work done to them post vacation. Until they can assure you this has been fixed, I would not book. In our cabin, I found black hair in our shower, a lamp was broken, tv was broken, & toilet paper holder was broken. Bathroom was not stocked with any toilet paper. Only 2 wash rags were stocked in each bathroom for a week’s stay so we had to go buy more. I tried reaching out to the cabin owners, but never heard back. If these issues could be fixed, it could really be an awesome place to visit.
My family wanted to do something different for Christmas and decided to rent a cabin in Broken Bow. The cabin was cozy but still provided enough space for us to spread out. A spectacular experience in an amazing cabin, we wouldn’t change a thing. Christmas 2019 was epic. Thank you Walnut Hill Hideaway!
We had great stay and I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to book a vacation!

Such a wonderful weekend away!
We rented the cabin this weekend and had such a great time! Everything about the cabin was beyond our expectations. It was so clean and everything was well stocked. Everyone kept commenting on how gorgeous everything was, from the decor to the lighting. It was warm and made us feel right at home. I was also very impressed with the communication we received from the time we rented the cabin. Even while we were there over the weekend, someone came by just to bring us a DVD player because we didn't have one to use. That made such an impact on us and we would highly recommend this company and rental! Thanks for making our weekend so great!
