Beautiful house, lots of space. Even though the owners ended up being there that week, we didn't notice them. The place was well stocked and comfortable. It's furnished with old furniture that really fits the property. We would definitely stay there again.

We are thankful that the family has made this house available - we were a family group from 4-68 years old and were very comfortable because of all the space. We also liked that the house was not in the busy part of Alaska- nice for the kids to play outside without having to worry about a busy road.

In the past, VRBO has sent me information a few days before the trip as to how to access the property, but this time, I had to contact the owner, and he immediately sent it to me. As described, the property is in a great location, has plenty of space, and is well-stocked with spices and other little necessities. The owner responded to my questions quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

This property was ideal for our family as we enjoyed visiting Anchorage and the surrounding areas. We appreciated the location as well as the cleanliness, well stocked kitchen, and all the amenities. Our host, Bob, was very pleasant and made sure to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Check in, communication, and ample space for all our family was great. Great older home in South Anchorage

Our family stayed here at the start of our Alaskan adventure. It’s a big older home with lots of room to spread out. The only downfall for us was the fact that we booked several adventures taking us north and that added time to our outgoing and return drives. But that’s on us for selecting a south Anchorage location. Hosts were responsive to questions and the home was clean.

Perfect for large groups and families!!

This property was PERFECT for my group of 8 people!! The home has a large kitchen, dining room, 5 bedrooms and three sitting rooms. Everybody could have their own space to sit and talk. There were plenty of bathrooms, and plenty of privacy. I found the home to be tastefully decorated in what we would expect to see in Alaska. If you are looking for a renovated home to keep up with the 2010’s to present, you won’t find that here, But what you will find is everything you could need or want for a long stay in Anchorage!!! We loved it!!! No complaints!!

Owners have lived in Alaska for over 40 years and are a semi-retired couple who travel extensively in the 'Lower 48' but continue to call Alaska 'home'. During the summer they enjoy spending time on the Kenai River fishing for Alaska salmon. During the fall they enjoy the Adirondacks in NY where they have a small cabin on the Ausable River. The winters are spent mainly in Florida avoiding the cold snowy weather they have enjoyed all those years. They maintain a small apartment over the garage at said property for when they are in Anchorage.
