The Turmerica Plantation Homestay was Adjudged as the Second best homestay in the country, by the Prestegious "The Outlook Traveller Magazine" in the year 2015.

We being the members of one of the oldest dynasties of India " The Zamorins ", the guests could interact with us and understand the rich history and culture of India & Kerala in particular. The hostess Ranjini Menon is also an active Media person ( t v host) and director whose focus is on women empowerment, child rights & environment protection.

At Turmerica we hold spiritual classes, yoga & meditation sessions and give only organic food to our guests.

Our home is 100 years old heritage bungalow which we have converted as a Premium class home stay. It is in a 12 acre organic coffee plantation surrounded by 300 acres of Tea


We grow organic coffee, pepper, cardamom, turmeric, coconut & most of the seasonal vegetables. Since we believe in harmony with nature we allowed Three trees namely a coconut tree, a star fruit tree and a Gauva tree to grow inside our home

We also give farm tour, coffee tour, tea tour, theme based agricultural activities ( theme coconut, theme banana, theme jackfruit etc), live fine arts performance, dinner theatre, spiritual talks,trekking, bird watching, pilgrim trails, cultural trails, semi adventure activities etc for our guests (on request with extra charges).

Turmerica Wayanad is a culinary destination and we have arranged many cookery demonstrations & lessons on food culture to accomplished chefs, cookbook writers and even beginners. We specialise on authentic Kerala recipes, Tribal Food & Kerala Royal cuisines.

At Turmerica we have a fairly good library, indoor games area, Swimming pool & party area. The guests can also participate in the farm activities along with our dedicated staff.
