The location and outdoor space is beautiful. The kids enjoyed the yard and the parents the front porch. The listing is a bit misleading as there are only 3 actual bedrooms, the 4th bed is in a loft that’s open to the living area. Overall a great place to stay.
Great property! Beautiful yard for kids to play and wonderful spacious living area. Great communication too. Note: the owner stays on the bottom floor. No issue at all with our group but just noting since we missed this prior to booking.
We really enjoyed our stay! We used every room to accommodate our family and played in the outdoor spaces as well! The yard was a great place to play with the family and take walks! It was 15 min to Hershey so everything was easily accessible. Kitchen well equipped. Host helpful. Would recommend.
The house was big and had enough space for our whole group. The fire pit in the back yard was so nice to use! It was huge! The kitchen was well stocked but a few pans had seen better days. The walls are thin tho so you can hear everything. The beds where also squeaky but nothing you can't get use to. The yard was also really big. We had more than enough space to play yard games.
Both the house and the grounds are beautiful, and the hosts were the most thoughtful we have ever come across. We gathered for our first post-pandemic family Thanksgiving, with guests from 2 years old to 97 years old, and everyone had a wonderful time. The house had everything we could possibly need, and the hosts made the whole stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible. The outdoor fire pit was a special treat on a chilly day!
Our party of 8 including two kids had a nice time at this cabin very close to Hershey. Enjoyed the gas fireplace a lot.
Hosts went out of their way and were very responsive when we asked them for help with something, which we appreciated.
Sharing in case helpful to others - I didn’t realize that one of the bedrooms is an open, second story loft. There isn’t a door to that room - it overlooks the living room. The bed is far back and behind a corner so you don’t feel like you’re sleeping in the common area or anything.
Thank you for a nice stay!
What a great place to meet up with relatives! We had three families meet here for a home base during a hersheypark visit. We loved the home and the property. We enjoyed a fire one night and a chance to catch lightning bugs! One downfall- you can hear everything in this home. Yes I could hear my brother snoring in the bedroom above me! And one suggestion to hosts - more utensils - or a suggestion to future renters to bring plastic utensils. We had a group of 9 and needed to clean forks and spoons for every meal. An easy fix though- overall a nice stay!
Booked this property for a family vacation in Hershey. Overall, I would give this place a fair rating. Property inside had a distinct smell that initially was unpleasant. Some aspects of the property showing its age and in need of repair (3rd floor shower & back deck). Could not find the fly swatter until the final day, need more utensils, spatula, mirror in rooms, and wash clothes for bathing. I was unaware that the owner lived on site until we checked in.
This was a great house for our weekend reunion get together. It was a short drive to Hershey Park (which was fun but super crowded) and than a wonderfully relaxing place to recover the rest of the weekend. We sat out on the deck or patio each morning with our coffee, the kids played for hours in the yard and we cooked and even had a great fire for s'mores. Perfect for the 5-8 year old age range of our adventurous kids who enjoyed playing ball and catching bugs.
