This beautiful one bedroom, air-conditioned cottage, with private courtyard is located on the very edge of the city. Just a short drive to the Gisborne CBD (5 km) and 10 minutes from the beaches. All of Gisborne’s highlights are literally on your doorstep.

The cottage is perfect for couples. The bedroom has a king-size bed. It has a great kitchen, laundry and one WC with shower. The private courtyard opens out to a rural setting where you can relax after your day of enjoying the Gisborne region.

The guest house is located on a lifestyle block at 142 Valley Road. The farm has sheep, chickens and working dogs.

Very comfortable stay

The hosts were very kind and helpful, and I had such a comfortable stay. The air con, very comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen and outdoor table for eating/ coffee in the am were the highlights.

A Perfect Choice

We loved our 5 days staying here, a warm welcome from hosts and pets greeted us on arrival. The hosts went above and beyond with the many thoughtful extras provided. We immediately felt at home. A sense of the country in a farm cottage, a few minutes drive from town. Would def recommend as an ideal place to stay for a couple. Recommend staying several days to enjoy all the unique Gisborne tourism opportunities. Railbikes, Eagle/Manta Ray feeding, Night Sky Viewing, amazing opportunities not found elsewhere.

Great spot and super comfortable

This accommodation is everything you could want. It has great decor, friendly hosts, plenty of space, beautiful surroundings and is super handy to town. It has multiple options for sitting out, a spa and a country feel, and Diana fills the place with treats and breakfast supplies. I will definitely be back!

Fabulous Private Getaway

Amazing, cute, comfortable!

This little cottage was just a dream. It's surrounded by so many plants that Diane and Andrew planted when they first moved there. When we arrived they asked if we would like any suggestions of where to go and showed us around the property so we wouldn't be lost. We were also greeted with homemade scones, preserves, a bottle of wine and all these other great treats that made us feel right at home. It was, unfortunately raining for a large portion of our trip, but we didn't mind spending time in the cottage and enjoying the hot tub that was there. I had some great conversations with Diane and Andrew and they were just so kind and friendly. We hope their place will be available the next time we go to Gisborne as it truly was such a joy to stay there!

Home away from home

This was a super find. Such a comfortable and spacious unit, very friendly and accommodating hosts and a super, quiet location. Homemade scones on arrival were a real treat, along with all the extra goodies provided. Will definitely book here again when next in Gisborne.

Fantastic stay

Dianna and Andrew are lovely hosts. The cottage was spacious and very comfortable and beautifully presented. Lovely peaceful settling with home cooked treats and fresh farm eggs. Spa each night was a real treat. Just a 5 mintue drive into Town but you felt like you were out in the country. Highly recommend.

Quiet and rural but close to town

Spacious property and owners amazing to deal with. Well equipped and had undercover parking which was a bonus as well. Cell phone coverage patchy so had to go down the road . Lovely area to walk and bike. Close to town. Will stay there again

We had a wonderful four nights. Everything was perfect, we enjoyed being in such a beautiful spot in such a gorgeous garden. Dianna and Andrew were very welcoming and great to have a chat with. Super comfy bed and we enjoyed the hot tub. The home baking was a real treat. Would stay again!

A slice of heaven

We arrived late unexpectedly, Dianne still met us and showed us around the property, fantastic welcome and service - probably the most comfortable bed ever. Scones,, jam, fresh whipped cream, wine amongst unexpected bonus treats. Spa pool fantastic. Great chat with them in the morning, met the lovely dogs :) What you do, you do every well. Much aroha!

Perfect Home Away from Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dianna & Andrew's lovely self contained cottage; from the moment we arrived to find an array of home made treats, fresh fruit and eggs, we felt right at home in the relaxed surroundings of semi rural Gisborne. So close to town, but country enough to wake to the sounds of nature, this is an ideal spot to base yourself for a Gisborne getaway.

Lovely cottage just outside of Gisborne central

This was a great place to stay with lots of lovely touches (fresh baking, juice, heat pump on, etc). House had everything you need for a weekend stay, the grounds were beautiful, hot tub was an added bonus. Would stay again!

Absolutely fantastic

Our stay was perfect. The place was warm and extremely tidy. The hosts were welcoming and very helpful. The homemade baking and all the other small touches made the stay memorable.

If you're in Gisborne stay here

A lovely place. Owners went above and beyond in many ways. I don't think I have ever previously considered the accomodation to be the highlight of a holiday. Highly recommended.
