Having stayed in over 15 different places on this island over the years, I feel in a good position to comment on this home. First, the location is great in its centrality. However, being low lying, it can be a little bug infested - and being outside to catch the breezes is essential on warm island days, but this is nothing a mosquito coil won’t fix. It doesn’t look much from the outside but this house is lovely inside… well renovated, with three bedrooms, a very nice bathroom, and a good kitchen.. I stayed a month….. and would recommend it, especially for a family or a small group.

We loved having you stay with us Jenn, you were a wonderful guest and adapted to Island life beautifully. If you ever want to come again we are always happy to have you. Hope you made it home safely :)
Centrally located and a breeze to walk most places. Lovely layout and good family bathroom. Wished we'd known about pets being allowed previously, so that we'd have been prepared for son's allergy, that sadly interrupted our last couple of days. Parking wasn't the easiest with accom being behind someone's else's home and needing to be hyper vigilant with family reunion meals on occasion. Previous tenant's belongings (dirty clothes left) also interesting. Good amount of kitchen items so clearly updated to a previous posting, thankyou. Be prepared for the shady backyard with your repellent and remember to look around for the wondrous giant orbs.

Hi Donna,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Sons's allergies, Tamarinds isn't a pet friendly home, so there should not have been any traces of animals in the home.
I am however very happy that you have enjoyed your stay at Tamarinds beach House and we would love to have you back again in the future. :)
Thank you Donna
Arrangements for rental were very easy and any questions were always very promptly answered in the lead up to our stay.
Very tranquil house in a fantastic location and very short walk to Alma Bay.
The property met all of our requirements for a long weekend for 4 adults and 3 kids.

Cosy little spot
Kitchen had everything needed for a family getaway. Main bed too squeaky. Driveway too narrow for a 4WD. Parking out front is fine. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the location was ideal, we had our own car to get around the Island. Arcadia is perfect to go either way on the Island.
A spacious, really well-presented house, and with lovely outdoor areas: extensive decking and comfortable furniture to sink into.
Great location, with various shortcuts providing an easy walk to Alma Bay, Geoffrey Bay, and the RSL. I reckon Arcadia is the pick of the Island's settlements.
The bathrooms are beautifully fitted out but as a family of 3 we experienced trouble with the hot water for all our showers.
The kitchen was really under-supplied in terms of crockery and utensils. The house sleeps up to 6, but if there were 6 — or more than 2 or 3 — in the house you'd be hard-pressed to actually set a table for any meal.
HOmeAway/Stayz were great with communicatiion in the lead up to our holiday, and checkin/checkout went really smoothly

Thank you for your review and comments, Anthony. We will certainly restock and add kitchen supplies needed and look into the hot water system.
