Welcome to Farm Cottage Tutira
This is a complete country home with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry. It contains two double bedrooms with extra single bed. A cozy lounge with log fire, and deck looks out over the Lakes.
Originally built in the rarely 1900s as a gardeners cottage for well known naturalist Herbert Guthrie Smith who owned Tutira Station. It has since been used as a shepherds quarters, managers residence and in later years as a shearers quarters. It has now been renovated.
Winaries, Golf causes, Inner city shopping, Art Deco Tours.
Remote sandy bays can be found on the East Coast.
Explore some of New Zealand's undisturbed treasures, including tracks around both lakes and lake side Eaastern hills as well as nearby Shines Falls, Holts Forest, Bellbird Bush, lake Opouahi, Maungaharau range and Bell rock, Boundary Stream Mainland Island Nature Reserve.
Surrounding by farmland this tranquil lakeside setting overlooks the Tutira lakes bird sanctuary and has many activities to offer guests. Some of the attractions that are all located within half an hour's drive include. Canoe available for hire. Sightseeing and fishing trips can be arranged.
