This place was perfect for my daughter’s wedding weekend! The bridal party got ready here, and it made the morning so much more relaxing and special. The house was clean, comfortable, and the views are beautiful. It was the perfect spot to make memories and snap some great photos. The host even put some special touches in the cabin for the newlyweds. 💟 We couldn’t have asked for a better place and would definitely come back!

Thank you for your feedback and for bringing these details to our attention. We apologize for the inconvenience with the freezer. Once we became aware of the issue following your stay, the unit was cleaned and replaced with a new one. The home is extensively stocked with kitchenware for guests’ convenience, and we appreciate your comments regarding the dishware. We also understand that towel preferences can vary from guest to guest. Thank you for sharing your experience and helping us continue providing a comfortable and well-equipped stay for future visitors.
***A satellite connection is required to find this AWESOME place. Its spectacular scenery is easy to get lost in without a satellite connection. Google Maps (even if downloaded/offline) does NOT get you there.***My family and I unexpectedly found ourselves in need of a place to stay in St. Maries. Some of us we're driving in to St. Maries. Some of us were flying in to St. Maries. Shannon and Mike were understanding of our situation and went above and beyond to make our 2-night stay as comfortable as possible. They were amazing and we greatly appreciated finding a place where we could stay at a very reasonable price. It suited our needs perfectly and we feel blessed to have found and stayed in this perfectly appointed, well-stocked (blankets, pillows, etc.) amazing hunting cabin in St. Maries, ID.

We stayed here for a week and it was amazing the host was very friendly and kind. They made the check in/out process so easy. House was very cozy you won’t get cold in the winter. 10/10 recommend for a quiet get away, hunting trip, or day at the river.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. The surrounding area was peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed our time there.

St. Joe fishing trip
Host was so quick to respond to questions. House was situated in a quiet spot with lots of yard. We had a wonderful time fishing and then coming back to the house to enjoy the peaceful afternoon on the large covered porch.

Beautiful mountain retreat
We stayed here for Christmas and had a wonderful time. The cabin was perfect for our needs. We live in a tiny house and the kitchen was bigger than ours at home so we were able to comfortably cook a nice Christmas dinner. Highly recommended
We just spent 3 nights at this lovely cabin. It was very clean and has all the comforts of home. It even had an air conditioner in the main living area to keep things cool during St. Marie’s warm summers. We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay and would stay here if we come back to the area.We enjoyed watching the deer in the front yard and the amazing stars at night. The property is close to great flyfishing for cutthroat trout on the beautifil St. Joe river. The scenery is amazing as you go towards Avery and beyond. If you go that way stop at the fly shop and enjoy a sandwich and icecream sitting on the deck overlooking the river. The host was excellent and was responsive when we asked questions. If you want a quiet get away, this location is recommended.

Thank you so much! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Come back any time.
We wanted a place to stay while we fished the St Joe. The location is secluded and quiet and were even had deers visit the property during our stay.
The host was very communicative and available and made everything easy.
Just don’t use Waze to get there! Apple Maps gives a better driving experience due to its recommended drive path. 🙂
Overall a wonderful experience unfortunately marred by the painful experience of seeing so much USFS as well as private and cooperate land.
After having spent the summers of 1957-1961 working on the St. Joe National Forest (renamed the Idaho Panhandle National Forest, except for District 5, Potlatch that was absorbed by the Cleaarwater National Forest.
