'The Tree House' has a lodge feel and is the magnificent home of Sanna & Ellis. Sanna is from Finland & Ellis, a Kiwi, is a filmmaker for National Geographic. The Tree House has amazing views, overlooking rolling hills to the Kaikoura Mountains. Sanna & Ellis built The Tree House by hand. It has many remarkable features; from two 9m tree trunks in the lounge, to a huge open fire built of rocks up to a ton in weight. The house has featured on TV and in magazines. Your room is cosy with a comfortable Queen bed, electric blanket, bar fridge and beautiful timber ceiling.
The room also has an office desk and leather sofa.
The room comes with its own private bathroom and toilet (not en-suit). The bathroom is very stylish with natural stone tiling and a timber bench top vanity. The bathroom has a shower and bath.
Relax in the lounge with its two massive trees holding up the timber ceiling 9 meters above.
Sit back and enjoy the sunset while sipping a wine, eat breakfast overlooking the mountains in the outdoor areas, or take a relaxing stroll around the walking tracks on the property, amongst singing birds and rolling hills.
Feel free to exercise in the comprehensive gym downstairs. There is lots of equipment; treadmill, rower, bike, free weights and machines. Use of the gym is complimentary to all guests.

10/10, loved it and will definitely be returning 🙂
The Tree House Lodge is not just a stay but an experience in itself. The views outside are panoramic and inside each and every object and space has a story to tell. The hosts are some of the most interesting people we have ever met, not to mention their lovely hospitality. Thank you.
Fantastic hosts with terrific vision who have created the most extraordinary home with truly beautiful views. Certainly one of our very best VRBO experiences to date, and it will be very hard for any other hosts to offer anything better. Thanks Sanna & Ellis, we really enjoyed our time with you.
