The Space:

Tucked into the peaceful Sandy Bay enclave, Double Bays Beauty is a contemporary island retreat designed for comfort, connection, and ease. The home is arranged to make the most of its setting, with living spaces opening to both the north and west, capturing light throughout the day and allowing indoor and outdoor areas to work naturally together.



Upstairs, the main living zone opens to covered decks on either side, creating sheltered outdoor spaces that work year-round. Large sliding doors bring in fresh sea air and the sounds of the nearby bays, while the outdoor fireplace extends evenings outside as the light fades. Inside, the kitchen sits at the heart of the home and is fully equipped for shared meals, whether it’s a simple breakfast before the beach or dinner with friends. There is dining both indoors and out, and a comfortable lounge with plush seating, a flat-screen TV, and a second fireplace for cooler nights.



The upper level also includes two bedrooms, each opening directly outdoors. The master suite features a king bed, walk-in wardrobe, and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom offers a queen bed and its own ensuite, making this level ideal for couples or those wanting privacy.



Downstairs, two further bedrooms sit alongside a dedicated entertainment area. This light-filled space includes a pool table, darts, foosball, arcade games, and table tennis, creating a relaxed zone for evenings at home or slower days in. One bedroom includes a queen bed, while the fourth bedroom is fitted with a king single over queen bunk, making it well suited to families or mixed groups.



After a day at the beach, guests can rinse off, unwind in the spa pool, or settle into one of the outdoor seating areas dotted around the property. Kayaks and boogie boards are provided for use at Sandy Bay and Enclosure Bay, both just a short walk away.



Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speaker, and surround-sound TV are available throughout the home.

Guest Access:

Guests have full, private access to the entire home and all its amenities for the duration of their stay.

The outdoor fireplaces, covered decks, and games area are all for guest use, as are the kayaks and boogie boards provided for the nearby bays.



On-site parking is available directly at the property, with level access to the main entry.



Check-in is from 2:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:30 am. Early check-ins or late check-outs may be available for an additional fee, depending on booking schedules. If the property has a same-day turnaround, these options may not be possible, but confirmation can be provided closer to arrival.

Set in the quiet Sandy Bay enclave, Double Bays Beauty places you close to two of Waiheke’s most sheltered swimming beaches. Sandy Bay and Enclosure Bay are both just a few minutes’ walk from the front door. The water here is calm and clear, perfect for a morning swim, paddle on the kayak, or a barefoot stroll along the shoreline.



For coffee and easy island dining, Palm Beach is a short drive away with local favourites like Arcadia Café, known for its relaxed breakfasts and coastal outlook. From there, you can continue into Oneroa Village, the island’s main hub for boutique shopping, art galleries, and long lunches by the water.



Nearby vineyards include Mudbrick, Cable Bay, and Te Motu, each offering cellar-door tastings and seasonal menus with views stretching back to the city. Whether it’s a vineyard afternoon or a quiet evening on the deck, everything that makes Waiheke special is close and effortless from this location



Getting Around:

Exploring the island from Double Bays Beauty is simple and scenic. The property includes on-site parking, making it easy for guests bringing a car, and most of the island’s highlights are within a ten-minute drive, from the ferry terminal at Matiatia to Oneroa Village and the surrounding vineyards.



If you’re travelling without a vehicle, local buses run regularly from Matiatia Wharf, stopping near Palm Beach and along the main routes toward Onetangi. It’s an easy, relaxed way to move between beaches, cafés, and vineyards while taking in the views along the way.



Taxis and rideshare services are available but can be limited during peak times, so booking ahead is recommended. For those wanting to explore at their own pace, e-bikes and scooters can be hired in Oneroa, and the island’s coastal roads make every journey part of the experience.

7 nights between mid-December and mid-January, 3 nights for holiday weekends, and 2 nights at all other times.



The external camera by the front door is in operation for security purposes.

The home is located in a quiet residential area, so guests are asked to be considerate of neighbours and keep noise to a minimum, especially after dark.



Like most Waiheke homes, the property uses rainwater tanks, please use water thoughtfully



Interaction with Guests:

Our Stay Waiheke team is available seven days a week from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with after-hours assistance for urgent matters. Once you’ve checked in, the home is fully prepared for a relaxed and independent stay, private, comfortable, and ready for you to settle into island time.
