The cabin construction was very well thought out, maximum use for very little space. Clean, everything felt new. Great view of the glacier, and hopeful view of northern lights.
Inicialmente pensé que sería demasiado pequeño, pero no fue así. Cabaña muy acogedora, con todo lo necesario en la cocina. Muy nueva. Literas de matrimonio super cómodas y acogedoras. Me encantó.
This part of the ring road has very little accommodation so we were delighted to find the Lambhuis cabins. 30mins or so from the glacier lagoon so a great base for that and other activities such as the National Park. Cabin is cosy but very clean and we had everything we needed including good wifi. No oven or microwave but hotplate, cafetiere, kettle & toaster. Amazing views of the glaciers!
Had everything we needed and nothing we didn't with incredible views
We stayed at the Lambhus Glacier View Cabins for two nights during our recent trip to Iceland. The cabin was small but well appointed with cookware, dinnerware, and utensils. There is no oven but we had a two burner stovetop and a small refrigerator which was enough for the quick breakfasts and lunch that we made at the cabin. Our biggest challenge with dining was finding counterspace to dry our dishes, pots, and pans after we ate. The bathroom had a shower, sink, and toilet. Our group was concerned about the availability of hot water since the cabins only provide 30 minutes at a time and then take 4 hours to re-heat, but we staggered our showers and did not run into any issues. The beds were comfortable but it got pretty hot in the top bunk so we spent one night on the futon which was also quite comfortable. There is WiFi in the cabin but no TV or cable; however, the view outside of our window at the foot of the glacier made up for it!
The location was great and loved the horses right outside. Good place to watch for the Northern Lights. Very small but cozy for two people. Very clean and comfortable. PJ USA
This little wooden cabin has all you need and more! You have a great few of several glaciers from the cabin. There are also some cute geese and horses on the property. The hosts left a very helpful guide book in the cabin for us. Would recommend!
This place was clean and looked new. The only down side was the shower. the water went on the floor and it was hard to spray and wash at the same time and the water temperature kept changing.
Everything you need for a short stay. Everything was clean and in working order. Cozy (especially for our family of five), but we were out most of the day, so the size didn't bother us too much. The owner/manager was especially helpful - I had a leaking car tire and he was kind enough to put air into it from his farmhouse, until I could take it into town to get fixed.
Nice location, the cabin seemed newly constructed, clean and tidy. Inside exceeded our expectations and bigger than expected.
The site had a soccer goal and trampoline which was great for the kids.
Overlooking the glacier and easy 30 minute drive to Höfn.
Beginning with check-in our experience was nothing short of great. The hosts were incredibly nice, and pointed out sites and things to do in the area that were perfect for us.
