Schloss Hohen Niendorf 1864 mansion built in the style of the Gothic Revival and later rebuilt as a hunting lodge and family home. By 2010 the castle was completely renovated. There was a lift and communal facilities such as a fireplace room and sauna. A 70Hektar large park with old trees, rare species and two megalithic tombs belongs to the property. The coastal resorts of Kühlungsborn and Rerik with its long sandy beaches and piers are not far. The Hanseatic city of Wismar in the one direction and Bad Doberan, Warnemünde and Rostock offer in the other impressive sights in all seasons, interesting exhibitions, culture, outstanding cuisine and interesting architecture. Schloss Hohen Niendorf is the ideal place to the bustling beach resorts to enjoy in the immediate vicinity of absolute tranquility.
The apartment is modern, has three rooms with heated floors, kitchen, bathroom and a large balcony with views to the Baltic and Salzhaff.
History: Schloss Hohen Niendorf was originally built as a mansion in 1864 in the style of the Gothic Revival and later rebuilt as a hunting lodge and family home. After the Second World War it served initially displaced and later as a training home until it finally fell for years. From 2008 to 2010 the castle was completely renovated. There was a lift, various community facilities, such as a fireplace room and sauna .The 70-hectare castle park is still marked by the plant by the famous landscape architect Wilken Rostock in 1866. In its mission to create an English landscape garden, he referred two Hühnengräbder from the Stone or Bronze Age with a left and import of all continents plants. Several kilometers paths run through the castle grounds today and lead the pond and large oaks along, through giant rhododendrons and a variety of conifers that hold since the park's plant here.
Location: Hohen Niendorf can be reached from the coastal highway A20 at exit Kröpelin (from Rostock and Berlin) or exit Wismar East (from Hamburg). The place has a dozen houses, a large modern "wooden playground", a pottery, the castle and one of Bastorf.
Bastorf is famous for its lighthouse, the highest situated in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and provides the organic farm estate Bastorf bakers, restaurant and shops for daily needs.
Especially at Hohen Niendorf is its location on a hill, the sweeping views of the Baltic Sea, the Salzhaff or allowed into the interior as well as the diversity of its environment. Directly to the castle park close to the southeast of large canola and corn fields, at the edges in the spring of lush poppy blossoms. To the east and southeast Hohen Niendorf is surrounded by large orchards, the smell in the spring, carrying apples in autumn and look beautiful in any season.
In the Northeast, the forest area of the "cooling", a vast nature reserve, which is ideal for hiking, mushroom and berry picking begins.
Kuehlungsborn and Rerik are each just under seven kilometers away and safely reach on designated bike paths by bike as well as by car. Bad Doberan, with its famous Doberan Minster is just over 15 kilometers away, the Hanseatic cities of Wismar and Rostock each just under 35 kilometers.
