4th of July weekend

Great cabin and location close to the lake. Owner and property manager were very helpful and friendly. Recommended max occupancy is 6 adults (2 loft, 2 pull out couch, 2 bedroom).

Thanks! Yes, for adults I would even say 4 max but it can take up to 8 if you don't mind being "cozy". Ideal guest count is 2-4 adults with up to 2-4 children.

Great little cabin

It’s a beautiful little cabin in the woods and one little cabin behind it. Still very private and quiet. We will be back with our kids and grandkids to rent both cabins next time. We loved it!

Quiet cabin in the woods 😍

Such a great place for family time! We absolutely loved our visit. Jim, the really good looking cleaning lady, was extremely kind and helpful! It was a short 5 minute walk down to the lake. We enjoyed a bonfire a couple nights. The diamond mine was a simple drive. Definitely recommend!

Diamond hunting bucket list with granddaughter

This cabin was perfect for us! We took our 14 year old grand daughter on this trip. The location was perfect for Crater of Diamonds. The cabin itself was cute, clean and well stocked. Had a bonfire both nights and enjoyed the covered porch. Perfect in every way. Susan, Terry & Lilly

Cabin in the woods

Enjoyed time in this area. We hiked around Albert Pike so we had a bit of a drive but the cabin was clean and comfortable. Because of Covid we brought all of our food - the kitchen was adequately stocked for preparation.

Beautiful and Cozy

This cabin was not only quiet and cozy but, the location was beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed, including coffee after a 15 hour drive. The deer could be seen from the porch! The owner stayed in contact with me and answered all of my questions. His welcome email was very detailed and gave us great information about all resturaunts, stores and extra curricular activities close by. I highly recommend the Codex Cabin. Professionally I'm a chiropractor but I'm also a U.S. Army veteran having served both in an enlisted & officer capacity. My wife and I own many dogs, most of which are rescues.

Although I grew up in the city and in the country, I'm country at heart. My favorite activities include motorcycling, backpacking, hiking, and camping.

My goal as a host is for my guests to have a 5-star + experience by exceeding their expectations.

Why they chose this property

The Codex cabin is a one-of-a-kind, unique park model cabin built by me, a general contractor friend and a crew. It is Beagle themed and named after our Beagle boy, Codex, whom we bred in 2013 along with his 3 brothers. Past guests have raved about its design and how cute it is. It will comfortably sleep 4 to 6 people but is set up to sleep up to 8. While 8 guests are a tight fit, it allows a larger family or group of friends to stay together at a very affordable rate, especially when compared to the cost of multiple hotel rooms.

What makes this property unique

The Codex is conveniently located within walking distance of Lake Greeson but not too far from Murfreesboro or the Crater of Diamonds State Park. The covered deck provides a great spot to hang out, visit with friends or family or just enjoy soaking up the sounds of the woods.
