The property was great and beautiful, set back in a tropical green setting. It was clean, neat and the owners are wonderful to work with. It had a great location for walking to anything, the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The mattress is very firm and new. The only issue we had was a ceiling fan light that kept flashing at low levels when turned off. The price was at the low end of what we were looking at and a few hundred US dollars less than places on the beach or with a balcony view of the beach. Having said that the view from the small balcony and the windows is very nice. For the price we paid we were tempted to give it five stars.
The reason for giving it fewer stars was mainly the location and entrance. The location has a fairly significant hill so if you are our of shape it would be a chore. However we liked it because it gave us some exercise. The entrance is a but sketchy at night, a bit dark and secluded. To get to the door you pass through two locked gates, there is a gate on the door and the door itself locks. Everything works great but it is not a five star resort, but then it is not priced that way at all. It was 85 degrees there and there was great airflow through the property so it felt great. There is no air-conditioning, but we did not think we needed it.
We chose to take a cab and walk everywhere. If you are driving a car there is not a real great place to park.
We would stay there again, the money we saved on the property was used well in all the activities that were available all around us.
If you do choose to stay there tell the cab driver it is directly across from the Subway off the highway. (And what they called the highway was just a two lane road, not really that busy or like a highway in the states)
We would recommend it to our family and friends.
