Description of apartment is completely deceptive
Apartment was not at all what I expected. The bedding was filthy, the condition of the apartment less than acceptable. We couldn't even bear to stay there. The pictures are completely deceptive. The green curtain hides huge holes in walls. You have to walk past a rusted barred door with blanket and cigarette butts from someone sleeping there. Pictures look light and bright but room is dark and dirty. The bed sits on wooden pallets and the bedding was dirty and gray around the bottom as it sits upon the dirty floor. There is a mirror with a broken frame that they couldn't be bothered to hang, that sits on the back of a dirty couch. The lamp shade was broken and the light itself didn't work properly, I think the lever inside was shorting out so it didn't stay on. There are holes in the wall above the tiny refrigerator and another hole behind the front door. I have photos to support these statements but VRBO doesn't care. They let host decide if they want to refund, even partial refund but thus far, I have received nothing. Use a different site to book your accommodations.
When I told the host how I felt he sent a text stating "It's not a villa darling." then he deleted it. He refused to refund any portion of the three days payment i had already made which included a cleaning fee.
I reached out to VRBO and was told that he posted photos. I told them that his photos didn't match mine from that day but VRBO representative said that it is up to the host to decide to refund or not. I asked if she bothered to look at the photos I submitted but she didn't care. This is a property that shouldn't be on any listing but as VRBO seems to only support the property owners, as a traveler, I will never use this site again nor would I recommend this property to anyone. .Don't Stay Here!!!
