The space

Grand Laguna Beach is an elite beachfront condominium project developed in an exclusive neighborhood with one, two, three and four bedroom units, as well as penthouse options. Each condominium unit is finished with Carolina stone floors, upgraded kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops, latest style bathroom sinks, glass wall shower surrounds, wood trim, solid wood doors and air-conditioning throughout. Suited us perfectly

We loved the condo and location - the place suited us perfectly. We could walk to shopping and restaurants but if you don't like walking it might not be for you.

A Peaceful Oasis

The pictures of this property don’t due it justice! It’s so pretty & private! We loved having the ground level covered patio to enjoy many of our meals & for reading. Lots of nature all around us. Bonus…the beach is just a pathway away & we had a partial view of it & able to hear the waves. The unit itself has a big kitchen which I loved with most items supplied. The living space overlooking the patio area gave us an amazing view of the tropical forest! Both bedrooms were nice & roomy too. We had a few issues to iron out over the coarse of our first week and a half. We booked it for a little more then 5 weeks so we were counting on having a BBQ as stipulated on VRBO but there wasn’t one. Once Clint was notified of our disappointment over this, he explained that the original one got damaged but that he would arrange for the Property Manager (Rosa) to replace it. She also bought a new toaster & a few other kitchen items. There did seem like one thing after another was happening the first couple weeks! After 2 days of no hot water, Clint contacted Rosa of this and after 2 visits from her and then realizing that it wasn’t us turning the tapes in the wrong direction, she called in someone to repair/replace the hot water heater. Finally on day 6 we finally had hot water consistently and it stayed that way for the rest of our time. Unfortunately for our daughter she was heading home on day 7 so she had only one shower with hot water. A few other issues cropped up but Clint was available right away to take care of them via the PM. Worth mentioning, it was great to have a washer & dryer in the unit… this was a big plus for me. Also nice to have at GLB a restaurant called Grotto by the pool side for those times you don’t feel like arranging for a taxi to take you into town. The food was surprisingly good & inexpensive. Lots of security day & night. I was on my own for four days while my husband had to travel back home for a bit. I felt no concerns being on my own! Our overall experience of this place was positive and I would still recommend it! There’s no perfect place no matter where you rent… and the main thing is to know that you’re going to be taken care of & issues dealt with right away.

Misrepresentation and lack of maintenance/management

Let's see. Burned out light in kitchen; no washcloths; minimum towels; intermittent power; elevator did not work for two days; pictures in ad are not pictures of view from property, not representative at all. Television went out and displayed a sign so confusing it was impossible to determine what it meant or how to fix it. Wifi was confined to only one room; did not work unless you were in the living room. Faucet assembly in one bathroom was so loose we were afraid it would fall off and unless it was pointed in exactly the right direction, the water did not work. The water in the shower had so much salt in it you could not get clean and skin became irritated. Doors to patio had gaps when completely "closed". Really impossible to secure condo if someone wanted to break in. There's more but it appears no one has gone through the condo in some time with the purpose of repairing the things that need repair. There was no hotel management on site at all ... ever. The "office" was always, repeat always, locked and empty. Cannot imagine how the hotel functioned when there was no management on site.
