So, everyone involved is wonderful. Great owner and support team. This location is private and quiet. The security team is friendly just take the time to say hi and maybe offer a Pepsi when it is hot. The pool is phenomenal. I look forward to many happy returns.

It was a pleasure having you! Hopefully host you again soon!
good things first -pool is large size. LR couches are very .comfy, and outdoor furniture is very comfy. ok now the bad things, beds not so comfy. a/c in one bedroom didnt work for almost a week. weve stayed in villas in same region before and the a/c was fixed same day and even a fridge crapped out and was replaced same day.1) water cooler heats water hot for tea ,,but according to 2018 review on here, hasnt worked since then. still doesnt work as of 8/26/2021. just in case you dont know in the DR you cant brush your teeth or drink with water from the faucet so the big blue 5 gallon bottelon needs a cooler bc warm water sucks, we had to buy a big container and keep filling it and put it in the freezer. who wants to do that every day on a vacation? 2) grill is very old, run down, and unusable bc someone cut the tank hose0- was looking forward to some grilling.3) the pool was very milky cloudy had a dead frog which was grey was there a while and a dead macay crab of large size, but no one would know bc you couldnt see the bottom at time of arrival 4) there was mouse poop in all the kitchen drawers upon arrival which we refused to clean and no one else did, though cleaning lady was supposed to do that. we were there 14 days, and no cleaning lady came while we were there to clean it 5)there was a lizard living inside upon arrival, we tossed him out, but his droppings were in a couple of the bedrooms up on the walls way up where we couldnt reach. 6) some of the lights and fans dont work, i understand power outages can burn out the lights, but they should have been replaced before our arrival. 7) BE FORWARNED- they do not fumigate- if you are going to stay here i highly suggest you fork up the $2,500 pesos to do it or you will be eaten alive. 8) the screens on the outisde of the wooden slat windows at least 4 are torn and mosquitoes will come in and eat you at night even with the fumigation, so what we did was take plastic kitchen garbage bags and tape them on the inside and that worked. 9) the towels - 2 beach towels nice fluffy, but the others are very thin and worn.
we wont stay here again. oh yeah, last but not least, there is a large private villa behind this complex right behind this villa and the neighboring and people there smoke weed and crack and bc the wooden slat windows allow the air in bc they dont close fully ever or tightly, you smell everything including cigar smoke, or firewood, etc. owner gave 14% discount for this

It is not surprising that the writer of this review is anonymous. as it is scathingly inaccurate. I did not give any discount for anything except a break on the electricity because the hot tub could not be repaired in time since it was a last minute reservation that I actually changed my plans to accommodate. I explained to the renter that I was going down to upgrade a few things in the villa (the BBQ being one) and that it may be a little tired as I have been unable to get down there due to Covid. He said he understood. The a/c conked out on the Saturday of a long weekend in DR. We actually had it fixed by Monday which is a credit to my property manager as nothing gets done on a Sunday or long weekend in DR. Surprised to hear the bed is uncomfortable as it actually is very comfortable - and this renter sent me one of many very, very long emails telling me how comfortable it actually was. The suggestion that my neighbours smoke crap and pot is ridiculous and this is the first I've heard of this fictitious complaint. To prove how unfair and deceitful this review is, please read the other reviews to get a clearer picture, and remember that his reservation was last minute, I warned that the villa needed some updating, and I changed my reservation to accommodate him. Couple this with the other reviews which do not agree with his estimation and I think you get the picture of who this guy is.
The staff is amazing and friendly. We love this location with few neighbors but a close distance to all the amenities.
The issues were resolved as they came up. We always enjoy La Mulata neighborhoods.
A quiet gem but still close to the hustle and bustle of Sosua's "City Center". Very comfortable accommodations. Sarah and Enrique's assistance with anything was very prompt. I most definitely will be returning.

Overall, it was a good vacation. Colleen was great and extremely helpful. She earns a 5/5.
Very nice villa, but several things in the home require updating/upgrading. First and foremost, this villa can not be considered as wheelchair accessible. Two large steps in the front and one from the outdoor deck going down to the pool. The pool itself requires a railing on the stairs. My Mom went in once and had to crawl her way out and onto the ground surrounding the pool. She never went in again. Quite sad watching her look at the pool every day and not be able to go in. RENT A CAR.. otherwise you will be stranded and stuck in the house, like we were. During the short period of time that we were there, these are the problems we had; 1 dead TV, 1 dead DVD player, lots of problems with the only TV in the house, toaster broke, microwave broke, cold water receptical only heated water, didn't make it cold cause it was broken, laundry outside...not convenient and we didn't use it. Pool man and gardener were supposed to come twice a week each so we thought we would know about our private time....unfortunately, they both came whenever they wanted, sometimes several times a day, and yes, we found it intrusive. As far as peace and quiet...the cars were racing down the two streets that surrounded us and screaming kids from the private school just outside of the gated area.
Having said all of the above. The Villa was still beautiful and we would go back again if some of the issues above are fixed and next time would get a car. You are quite stranded and groceries are not within walking distance. Thanks Donna. Your home is beautiful, but upgrades are definitely required.

Enquiries were not made about the property being suitable for guests in wheelchairs. If asked i would have said no. The dead tv was merely batteries for remote and dead dvd was because cords had been fiddled with. The toaster was not broken however the microwave was and was replaced with a new one immediately by my property manager.
Laundry facilities are in a small casita steps from the villas back exit and is commonly where these facilities are located in DR. As for being stranded, a large grocery store with other stores is a 10 minute walk from the villa, and a dominican grocery store and bar is a ten minute walk the other way. In addition the highway with three types of public transit is a 5 minute walk from the villa.
The gardener comes 6 days a week and the pool guy 3 times a week. It would be rare indeed for them to come more often than that.
My property manager found this traveller to be ill-prepared for such a destination and very difficult to deal with. When i see the level of unfairness that this client displays in her review i can understand her frustration.
While i sympathize this client needs to investigate her special needs before blaming an unsuspecting place for not catering to them.
