Hojnacki's Cedar Hideaway is a place where you can relax and have your morning coffee on the deck while listening to the sounds of nature, watch the fish jump from the dock in the early evening, or enjoy the beach and lake in the summer and snowmobiling or skiing in the winter, plus check out the new Pickle Ball courts! All these dreams and more can be yours at Hojnacki's Cedar Hideaway. HCH is located at 5311 Aberdeen Lodge Circle and tucked away in the woods on the Aberdeen Resort grounds, on the Manitowish Waters chain of lakes. This lovely cedar sided home is truly a delight and you are only minutes from the best fishing, boating, skiing, and snowmobiling in the area.

The home is 2250 sq. ft., and the perfect home for vacation offering an open concept living/dining area, two outdoor decks, picnic table, grill, and a fire pit. Attached 2 car garage will keep sleds warm in the winter and a large turn around driveway with plenty of parking for boat or snowmobile trailers.

* Dishwasher, disposal, microwave, stove and refrigerator are all included. * SmartTV and WIFI. *lounge/game room with a convert-a-couch in lower level. We will allow max. 2 dogs with additional dog fee per dog and strict rules must be followed.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Take all trash to dumpsters in the Aberdeen Lodge restaurant parking lot.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
An hourly charge of $50 for arrivals prior to check-in or departures after check-out time and arranged in advance with host..
All pet waste must be picked up. Pets are not allowed on furniture including beds.
Trash / recycling should be taken to the appropriate dumpster in the Aberdeen Lodge parking lot. $75 charge for trash left on the property.

Great Northwoods Vacation Home

This is a spacious well equipped clean and comfortable home for a family vacation. We travelled with kids and grandkids and we particularly liked the large king bedroom suite on the lower level - very peaceful spot for grandparents! The open area behind the house was great for the kids to play in. Its not on the water but the walk down throught the woods to the waters edge is pleasant.The small beach was great for swimming - sandy and a nice depth - and the designated pier for our boat worked well. Not having a washer and dryer was the one draw back to this property.

Winter getaway

We've stayed here several times and always enjoy our time. The house is clean, comfortable, and is located on a beautiful property. We enjoyed walking to the restaurant next door for dinner and the kids were able to play in the (little bit of) snow.

Great place to stay!

This was the perfect place for our group of friends traveling to the area for a wedding at the Chippewa Retreat Resort! The house was clean, spacious & communication with the owners was great. We’d definitely stay again!

Lorrie was an excellent host who was quick to answer any questions we had and was super helpful when booking with her. Don’t waste your time!

Heat wasn’t turned on at check-in so house was freezing. Key wasn’t in lock box when we got there. It was in the back door so anyone could have been in the house. Very unsafe. Directions said take garbage to dumpster but there wasn’t one. Charged us 50 for cleaning ladies to take it to the dumpster at the restaurant down the road.

Nice quiet and private home

The vacation home was very nice, quiet and private. We would consider staying there again. The only downside is for the price your dock and boat are not in the backyard. If not for that the rating would be excellent.

Jewel of the North(woods)

This cabin is absolutely perfect for a week/end visit to the Northwoods. The location is ideal - just feet from the beautiful Aberdeen lodge and restaurant and less than a mile from the lakefront - the scenery and walkability is unmatched. The cabin itself is great for 4 couples / multiple families and even kiddos. There is lots of room for activities both indoors (game room downstairs and large family room/dining room) and outdoors (great patio and fire pit in the back yard). Lorrie was communicative and informative. We would absolutely visit again!

Snowmobiling vacation

The home was beautiful and the owner was always available. Our dogs enjoyed climbing the into the snow hills. The location near restaurants and snowmobile trails was perfect.

Perfect for a snowmobile weekend!

Easy access to snowmobile trails right from the driveway and Aberdeen’s, an upscale restaurant with bar, is literally at the end of the driveway. Very convenient after a day of sledding. Just be sure to call ahead for reservations. Beds are comfortable and the house is well appointed. Basement king bedroom gets chilly if the fireplace is on upstairs because thermostat doesn’t kick on, but there are plenty of blankets provided. Overall, great place for 2 families to share. We had two couples and two teenagers and a toddler and the space worked well.

Northwoods retreat

This was our family’s second NYE staying here. This is a great house for families and groups. Exactly as described- very clean, cozy, all the amenities needed when staying away from home. It is tucked away in the woods, making it picturesque and quiet. The kids (and adults) loved taking their new sledding tubes down the driveway. We’d love to make it a NYE tradition for years to come!

I consider myself a semi-local. I grew up in Manitowish Waters, with some family still residing here. My husband, Warren and I call this our second home. We have spent many years enjoying the lakes, bike trails, winter activities, and all that nature has to offer. Warren, and I are so grateful to share our home with you, and eventually will retire and spend our summers at. We hope that your stay at the Cedar Hideaway is as enjoyable to you as it is to us.
