At Casa Porvenir Compound you will discover a natural tropical beauty, an agreeable climate and an atmosphere of tranquility. You will find photos at the casaporvenir.com website that visually capture the beauty of the ambiance at Casa Porvenir. It is a place where one may while away the time looking out to sea to catch whales breaching, dolphin bounding across the surface or where scanning the shoreline one catches local fishermen casting nets or diving for lobsters. There are sunbathing, swimming, boogie boarding, deep sea fishing, hiking, bird watching, cave exploration, bike riding and the discovery of nook and cranny sanctuaries for meditation or yoga. You may also want to luxuriate with a massage or a pedicure/manicure on the estancia (deck) at Casa Porvenir. Trained and experienced specialists are on call. The casaporvenir.com website offers details on the numerous options for enjoying your stay including options for accommodations
The shoreline at the oceanfront features lava rock outcroppings and tide pools ideal for the curious beachcomber. A five minute walk to the south finds you on a sandy beach for sunbathing and boogie-boarding. The La Majahua beach, a ten minute walk to the north, opens to expanses of shoreline ideal for long walks and runs. It also offers conditions for beginning surfers. Continuing on to where the beach narrows you will arrive at the lagoon with its amazing array of shorebirds, waterfowl and amphibians. The more experienced surfers go by vehicle 30 minutes to the north to surf at Saladita or the Ranch, venues sought out by surfing aficionados who track the internet for the best places to surf. Wedding festivities are often held on the beach by those seeking a romantic and special place.
There are several restaurants within a 10 minute walking distance to the south that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Menus are varied, including Mexican, continental and American fare and, of course, an abundance of seafood. To the north, in the fishing Village of La Majahua, you will find quaint restaurants serving food typical to the area. There is an array of restaurants in the village of Troncones, two miles to the south. The casaporvenir.com website provides more detail on places to eat out. On the website you will also find information on places to go “out and about” including travel to magnificent colonial mountain towns 3 ½ to 4 hours from Casa Porvenir by vehicle.
Casa Porvenir is an ideal setting for basking in the glow of the present and dreaming of the promise of the future … WE WELCOME YOU! BIENVENIDOS!

About Jolene & Wayne Maes
Honoring legacy comes naturally from being first and second generation descendants of ancestors from Belgium and Lithuania. Honoring differences was learned in lessons from having lived and worked in diverse communities in the US and in seven countries abroad. Honoring service was learned in work "on the ground" with babies and small children with AIDS, with barrio children who wanted to learn but had no school and with young children who were mis-labelled and pushed aside because they were neither seen nor known. Humility was learned by lessons in the benefits and disadvantages of the accident of birth. Beauty was learned from smiling faces in the presence of joy and desperation. And, in the mountains, deserts, oceans, lakes and rivers of this spectacular small planet. We and our staff will do our very best to honor and to serve you here at Casa Porvenir in Troncones, Guerrero, Mexico. With gratitude for life's lessons, Jolene & Wayne Maes
