Downtown in this cozy pet and family friendly mid century cottage

Large master bedroom with king bed, large double closet, and writing/sitting area. Second bedroom with full bed and ample closet. Third bedroom with twin daybed with closet access in adjoining area. Plenty of relaxing options in the living room with cable tv, in the great room open to the kitchen, also with cable tv, or in the sun room off the great room looking out onto backyard. Large deck off the living room for grilling and outdoor gathering. Covered carport for one vehicle with access to great room. Nice front yard with concrete patio with bistro set. Also private backyard. Full size washer and dryer in the basement accessed from great room.

**50 lb limit. Only one pet unless special request granted. Pets MUST be leashed at all times when outside, except for fenced backyard.**

Close to everything Blue Ridge has to offer! Shopping, dining, hiking - it's all within minutes of this location. The house is comfortable, with plenty of space for lounging after a day exploring the region. The kitchen, while not very big, is equipped with all the necessities for cooking if you wish. There is a Keurig and a regular coffee pot, a spacious refrigerator, an electric stove, and a microwave. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. There are two living room areas with TVs, great for relaxing before bed. There are also a lot of card and board games . All in all, it was a great space to come to after exploring Blue Ridge and neighboring towns.

Location, value, and comfort. The home is a great way to experience all of downtown Blue Ridge which is just two blocks away. Everything you expect in a vacation rental is provided by the owners and you will be experiencing a taste of what living here would be like. The neighborhoodis also very quiet and peaceful.

If you are looking for a new, spa type of rental, this isn't it. If you are looking for a rental where it's warm and inviting, then rent this. It's an older home which has been updated. The kitchen has a new refrigerator, a Keurig and Coffee Mate coffee makers, microwave, new glass top range, and plenty of dishes. The furniture isn't the fanciest but they are the most comfortable. Most of the furniture is wood and dated but fits the decor very well. With 3 bedrooms, there is room for most families. The master bedroom is large with a king size bed and a table. There are 2 living rooms (one could be called the "parlor"). There are TVs in both rooms so the kids can have one and the adults another. The TVs have Roku and several feature apps. The WiFi is excellent. There is a new walk-in shower in the single bathroom. There is also a basement with a walk-out door and laundry. The backyard is fenced if you are bringing pet dog (check with owner on limits). There is a deck and a sunroom. The house is located two blocks from the main street with restaurants, shops, and the Blue Ridge Train Depot. My wife and I felt it was very clean and loved our stay. While there are some things that could use a little TLC, it's no different any other older home. We recommend and will rent again when we return to Blue Ridge.

We have been married since 1990, and moved to Blue Ridge, my hometown, in 2001, after spending most of our prior adult years in the Atlanta area. We lived in our first vacation cabin for two years and then moved into our new home on my family's farm just outside town. We have two grown sons who live in the Atlanta and Austin, TX area. On the farm our babies are our dog, two cats, and three "fainting' goats. At the end of 2015, we both be retired from long legal careers and began to focus our efforts on our two vacation rental properties.

Why they chose this property

This house was previously owned by a family friend. I went with a colleague who was house hunting to look at it. She decided that it wasn't for her, but I fell in love. The house is charming and in one of Blue Ridge's original in town neighborhoods, just steps from the excitement of downtown. Having hosted visitors for over two years at Cox Farmhouse, I had a vision that couples and young families will love the option of.staying in the very convenient location within minutes of walking to shops, parks, restaurants, the library, and art galleries. The Swan, one of Georgia's last and longest operating drive-in theaters, is only a few blocks away.

What makes this property unique

With its original hardwood floor in the main living room, and charming cottage feel, this gem will be the perfect vacation spot for two couples or a family with up to three children. The living room is light and airy with a large adjoining deck for grilling and outdoor seating. The great room provides space for guests to cook, dine, and watch tv or relax while being in the same space. The lovely tiled sunroom just off the great room provides additional seating and dining space. Full laundry facilities with a large laundry sink and an extra toilet in the basement provide extra convenience.
