We had a wedding to attend in Mirboo North and needed a two bedroom cottage. Accurate description on line, great communication from the owners, and accomodated our early checkin to suit the wedding time. Very modern facilities, nice breakfast, and warm comfortable beds, great.
The house was spotless clean, and the host was very welcoming and friendly, furnished and homely A well equipped property.
My wife and I will be returning to this wonderful place.
Amazing little cottage style home all to ourselves. Beautifully furnished and homely. Doug and Julie have gone above and beyond to provide a very comfortable and welcoming stay and made even more perfect with little things such as homemade bread, homemade jams, fresh milk and orange juice. 10/10 stay and will absolutely come back and also recommend to all our friends and family.
Julie and Doug were the perfect hosts, super friendly and down to earth! Such a cute little BnB for my sisters and I, will definitely be back for another stay and would recommend it to anyone travelling in the area!
A well equipped property with very welcoming hosts
The hosts were great and the warm bread on arrival was a welcome surprise. A great, well equipped country accommodation in the peaceful surrounds of the Gippsland country side.
Strathmore was a great spot to stay for 2 nights. Julie was a very friendly hostess and her property goes beyond being just “ nice” to outstanding- lots of personal touches.
Doug and Julie were wonderful hosts! Great spot and the fresh bread and jams were terrific!
Thank you for making us feel welcome.

Captivating surrounds, every comfort & delightful hosts
I just loved my stay at the cottage, serenity and comfort combined! So many perfect moments here! Sitting on the terrace in the morning sun, eating fresh baked bread and jam from my charming hosts. Lying in the grass amongst the fruit trees, surrounded by singing birds and butterflies. Watching Netflix on the comfy couch with a throw rug for extra comfort... Doug and Julie have really thought of everything and I would highly recommend a stay with them.
Doug was one of the nicest people l have met. he gave us some ideas on what to do and see and we took his ad vice. We were given home made bread for breakfast which was wonderful. the cottage was immaculate and we were well looked after. We hope to return there soon.
We loved our stay in Jan 2020. Doug & Julie are welcoming and very friendly hosts. They made it possible for us to relax and enjoy our stay, providing fresh homemade breakfast, privacy, and helpful tips on local places to eat/visit. The cottage is lovely and clean, with good quality linens etc...and really comfy couches & beds. We were able to wander round the gardens, meet some animals, and enjoyed the quiet farm atmosphere.
Thanks very much Julie & Doug for your hospitality and a great holiday!
Loved our one night stay here, very comfortable, welcoming and lovely place to stay.

Gorgeous cosy bnb in beautiful surrounds
Doug and Julie have a beautiful set up, right near town on 25 acres of lush countryside, rolling hills and beautiful views. The accommodation was perfect, with fresh homemade bread and jam, tea and coffee, fresh milk and orange juice. The heater was on when we arrived so it was beautiful and warm. The town is lovely, a really great brewery in lovely surrounds. Highly recommend.

Peaceful quiet farm in a beautiful farm with amazing hosts😊
The location and amenities are perfect. Dough and Julie are kind, helpful and flexible hosts we could ever get. It was a very warm welcome to their B&B and there was a welcome board with our name on it. Such a picturesque area the Strathmore Farm is, you would feel relaxing as soon as you enter the property. The cottage has everything you need for a perfect stay. Super clean and well organised facility. Yummy homemade breakfast and we loved variety of jam and juice especially. We had all the freedom to roam around the farm and our kids had a great time outdoor and they thoroughly enjoyed. Short distance to the look outs and other attractions. Dough and Julie were exceptionally helpful when our car broke down at Toora. Dough travelled all the way from his farm to us at night to pick us which we would never forget. He dropped us to the railway station the following day to get to Melbourne as our car was still with mechanic. Such beautiful souls they are, even picked us from the railway station and drove to the mechanic when we went to get the car back after a week from Melbourne. The time and effort they took to assist us is amazing and selfless. They even kept our luggage’s safe at the farm as we couldn’t take everything by train after our stay. Overall, you will never be disappointed but overwhelmed with a comfortable stay because both the farm and hosts are simply superb and beautiful. Enough cattles, chicken , sheeps and 3 cute cats to play with and wonderful trees and flowering plants around, can’t expect anything more than this. Soon will be going back to experience the amazing stay again.
Thank you so much
