HORTULANUS ESTATE is a luxurious private property located in the whimsical countryside of Seggiano. The estate (40 ha) consists of a Villa, two adjacent houses, a cantina and a conservatory with a tasting room. The estate can house 18 adults (plus 4 max. babies/children for free). Enjoy a lovely holiday with your family or friends in total privacy!

The beautifully landscaped gardens make for lovey walks. Relax in the infinity pool, the sauna or hot tub and enjoy the view of the famous Amiata mountain.

We offer daily workshops and activities on demand in cooking, yoga, zen, herbal cosmetics, oil, wine, breadmaking, fermenting techniques etc. as well as the possibiliy of all sorts of services like a private Chef, a maid, a chauffeur etc.

Amazing Stay at Hortunlanus

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Hortunlanus Estate. The property and villa were absolutely beautiful and the staff was so helpful. The pictures do not do it justice. The private chef arranged by the villa owner was amazing as well. I really wish we could have stayed longer!

Hortulanus is simply extraordinary. We had a large group that fluctuated between 9 and 13, including children. There was plenty of space for everyone. The pool is stunning. Overall the property is even larger than it looks in the photos, with large indoor and outdoor gathering areas. Before the stay, Shifra was very helpful and communicative. During the stay, Emiliano took care of everything we needed.The area is perfect. Not crowded, but lots to do. Convenient access to anything you need in the nearby towns.Overall cannot recommend Hortulanus enough.

Amazing stay at Hortulanus!

Our stay at Hortulanus will be forever etched in our memories as one of the greatest in Italy! The views from the property are just breathtaking. Our group of 10 adults was very comfortable; some had to stay on sofa-beds and share bathrooms. Bathrooms are rustic for the most part (true to the pictures), but great water pressure. We had meals mostly outside, or inside when it was raining. Fully stocked kitchen, but had to buy staples like salt and pepper. The area for yoga was used daily, offering beautiful surroundings. The property manager was very quick to answer our every question and address what needed to be. We had two dinners cooked on site (one traditional and one pizza night), and it was lovely. There are beautiful wineries not too far, groceries, and we went hiking as well… Wonderful stay, thank you!

Villa Hortulanus is Fantastic

We were a 3 generation family group of 14, 8 adults, 5 children and 1 baby., and stayed at Hortulanus for 2 weeks. We have rented villas more than a dozen times from Turkey to Spain and several countries in between. Hortulanus is by far the best. The pool is extraordinary and the most family and kid friendly pool you could imagine, the main villa and 2 cottages are perfect for large gatherings of friends and family, the setting is absolutely beautiful. To use the old cliché, the listing photos do not do the place justice. Despite the record breaking heat wave the A/C provided plenty of comfort and refuge in the bedrooms and public areas. The setting is spectacular, forested hills, olive groves and fields of vines. There is easy access by car to the property and good carport parking which was appreciated as it was hot and sunny every day. The property staff were amazing. The property manager Emiliano was prompt with replies to queries and the on site manager Massimo was so kind and helpful. We booked Chef Cristina for a couple of dinners and enjoyed some great local nonna type meals. This villa experience was fantastic and we highly recommend it. We plan to return.

A perfect family vacation!

Hortulanos was such an amazing experience! the property is absolutely stunning, I don't think the pictures show the scale and size of the property, it felt like a private resort. We went to celebrate my mother's 80's birthday and Louis-Paul treated us like family. We had Cristina cook for us 3 dinners and they were all amazing. The staff was very responsive and very accommodating. I would go back in heart beat!
