About this property

The Hibiscus House - Historic - Fully Renovated - Walking Distance to Tarpon Ave

Beautiful fully restored house that is simply precious with a unique feel and vibe that you could never get from staying in a hotel... the pictures speak for themselves! Walking distance from Tarpon Ave (great restaurants, nightlife, breweries, shopping, etc.) as well as the world famous Sponge Docks (infamous Hellas desserts and Sponge Diving). The home is an easy stroll to Spring Bayou for art shows, Epiphany celebration, watching manatees or relaxing with a good book by the calming waters!

The Hibiscus House is located in the great city of Tarpon Springs, where you have all of the conveniences of a "Big City" in a community that has maintained its Old World Charm. It is minutes to Fred Howard Park & Beach, Sunset Beach, Craig Park - All of which have great fishing for snook, trout, red fish & more; plus, manatees & dolphin regular sightings.

Walking distance to downtown, shopping, antique shops, quaint shops, fresh seafood markets & greek restaurants, waterfront dining, the World Famous Historic Sponge Docks, the Pinellas Bike Trail, Golfing, 30-45 minutes to International mall & Busch Gardens, and much more!

Bike or drive 10 miles or 20 minutes to Florida's gorgeous sandy beach Honeymoon Island and a short ferry ride to Caladesi State Park Beach that has been voted #1 beaches in America. Just 17 miles to Clearwater Beach.

We tried to keep all of the original features of the house that made it so special and unique, only updating the features that made the house more comfortable & livable. We completely remodeled the bathrooms with a "splash" of modern, yet timeless features. The Kitchen is brand new with all new appliances, cabinets and a gorgeous piece of granite. We carved out a designated space for the laundry room, which is super fresh. We re-finished all of the original hardwood floors, beadboard on the walls & ceilings, stair case, and kept the as many original windows as we could. We also opened up the two bedrooms upstairs so they are huge compared to most homes of that period. We completely re-wired and re-plumbed the house to make everything work properly and without headaches, as well as having great wifi throughout the house and modern flat screen TV's.

Ummm it’s like Anthropologie and west elm had a baby and it has better taste. And it’s this house. Great location, quiet, easy walk to shops and restaurants. Loved our stay.

Beautifully appointed home in walking distance to Tarpon downtown!
What a wonderful stay! Wish we could have stayed longer! Excellent communication with the property owner. Seamless check-in and check-out. Beautifully appointed home with a warm cozy feel - it felt like home! It had everything we needed and more. We love the way it is decorated and all the furnishings and fixtures. The neighborhood is so cute and perfect for a short stroll to downtown Tarpon Ave shopping, dining and entertainment (we love the replay pinball museum/arcade!). Also, it is just a short stroll to the gorgeous Spring Bayou Park and we had wonderful morning strolls past beautiful historic homes. Just a super short drive (could have walked but chose not to) to the sponge docks and so many beaches, parks, kayaking spots, Pinellas trail, excellent dining spots and unique shopping experiences. We love Tarpon Springs and the surrounding area, and plan to book another stay in the near future. This home was unique, cozy, spacious and we loved it... It is very highly recommended... Thank you!

Beautiful home
Our family of five enjoyed two days of stay in the Hibiscus house. It was clean and well-maintained, located on a quiet street. The house was very spacious and had a beautiful, welcoming interior that made It feel like we were staying in a European vacation home.

Hibiscus house
The property was an old Florida home but well maintained. Kitchen and baths had been upgraded. Loved the location as we walked to dinner and brew pubs. We drove to the sponge docks for a nice lunch at Rusty Bellies and shopped for souvenirs. We would definitely stay at the Hibiscus House again when visiting Tarpon Springs.
