Just 3 miles from Dollywood and splash country. Close to everything yet quiet and secluded.

Honeymoon retreat

Me and my wife decided to pick this cabin due to the amazing view and how far off the main road it was located. This cabin was everything we wanted and more ,clean, felt like home away from home and an awesome view . Its an amazing place! Definitely will book there again in the future.

Great stay

Beautiful view with everything that was explained in the listing. Only downfall is memory foam mattress which was harder than I am used too and the road up to the cabin is very steep in some places so bring a good vehicle to drive up the hills. We are from Ohio so we are used to it but be prepared. Overall very good stay and relaxing!

Cabin was perfect and the views are breathtaking. A little hard to find the 1st time !! 😂😬 Only complaint was bed was a little hard for me but my husband loved it !! Will definitely visit area again with same host !!

Perfect cabin for two

The view from this cabin is unmatched. Seeing the ferris wheel lit up at night just made it that much more special. Cleanliness is my big thing when staying someone where like this and it was very clean and organized. My main thing is a comfortable place to lay my head. This was not the case. The bed is in terrible shape and I was in so much pain from it and is what detracts me from coming back. Replace the mattress and I will continue to rent Sugar Bear on my return visits!

They kept half of damage deposit after we complained about dirtiness of cabin

First thing's first, they decided to keep half of our damage deposit because according to them, there were some toothpicks on the floor in a couple of rooms and there was a sticker stuck to a chair and floor (no mention of any damage that the alleged stickers did) They said the stickers were from women's hygiene products but no one in our party was on their menstrual cycle. So basically they kept half of our deposit because they had to clean the cabin EVEN THOUGH WE PAID A CLEANING FEE AND LEFT A TIP FOR THE CLEANING PEOPLE WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE THE OWNERS THEMSELVES----They clean the cabin themselves and apparently do not want to have to do any cleaning even though they charge a cleaning fee. Before we left the cabin we washed all the dishes, all the towels, gathered all of the trash and put as much of it as we could in the bear safe trash can, there was one bag of trash that would not fit in the insufficient trash can that was provided so we double bagged it and left it in the cabin. Any trash that was left in the cabin may have been like clothing tags or receipts (if that) so apparently sweeping these items up cost them half of my deposit. They literally kept half of our damage deposit because they had to sweep the floor. SECONDLY, ALL THE THINGS THAT WERE WRONG WITH THE CABIN: -The bedroom TV loudly buzzed so laying in bed watching TV was NOT enjoyable -Hair with chunks of meat was floating around in the hot tub -The jets in the hot tub barely worked, you basically just sat in warm water -The dryer took nearly 2 hours to dry our clothes and looked like it had caught on fire before. I burned my finger (I have a blister) from the fire hazard of a dryer -The deck creaked and was very rickety, I worried about falling through -The front steps going up to the cabin were split and rickety and we worried about falling through them -The toilet seat was disconnected from the toilet (we were accused of doing that). It was not broken when we left, just needed to be reattached. -The dishes were dirty, we had to wash every dish before we used it -Don't expect to be able to sit in the inside jacuzzi and enjoy the view, the window is corroded with white soap scum and you can not see through it (we have pictures of it but it won't let us upload it). -There was a huge dead roach in the jacuzzi tub I would not recommend this cabin to anyone--unless you want to be charged a cleaning fee and your damage deposit because they had to sweep.

Sugar Bear review

Dusty & cobwebs. No water from 10am-noon each day...was not disclosed to us prior to arriving. Old dishwasher & dryer unit handle broken. Garbage outside was full upon our arrival.We were not given instructions as how to work the TVs. Upside...views were incredible, matress & pillows were comfortable, spectacular fireworks everynight from balcony, nicely decorated. It was a quiet area. Pool was near by. Fully stocked kitchen was great.

Spring retreat

My husband and I enjoyed the sunset view each night from the balcony and hot tub. The drive up does take ten minutes or so to get up from the start of walker trail but the view is worth it. Just take it steady and slow around corners. Just a note: the bed is on the firmer side so it takes a bit to get settled in. We spent long days adventuring so we soaked off the soreness in the hot tub before laying down for the night and it was such a treat. Pay attention to the direction instructions on getting to the cabin. That kept me aware of needing to get to the extension part of the road which is a bit further than my phone maps wanted to take me. Having the half bath was great for getting ready in while my husband was in the shower in the full bathroom. The parking spot is slim but my SUV fit fine. We just had to back into the property below to get turned around since it is near the top end of the road.

The cabin was so cute! Would be nice for the gps location to be accurate but it’s easy enough to find! Even though there was neighbors it was pretty quiet! We will definitely be considering another stay here again if we are in the pigeon Forge area!!

This cabin had fantastic views, was clean and well maintained, and in a convenient location just 20-30 minutes from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It was exactly what we were looking for!

Amazing!!

Everything about this cabin, the view and the owners were beyond amazing!! The cabin was very clean, hot tub was such a great time relaxing watching the sunset. The deck was nice to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The communication with the owners regarding a situation was phenominal. They went above and beyond to address the issue and made it up to us in a way that still blows my husband and i away. We got to see 5 bears from our deck and wstched them walk the lane below exploring. This cabin does not disappoint!!

Weekend Retreat

Property is great!! The location is perfect for visiting Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Property was clean and we had no issues getting to the property. Overall, I would recommend this property for a nice quiet place to get away.

Sugar Bear

We came here over thanksgiving this year and had a great stay! The cabin and the views were phenomenal and exactly as pictured. The only thing that I didn’t like was how firm the bed was- but this is just based on personal preference! Parking was also a little tight for a full sized truck, but it was doable, however I do not see how parking would be spacious enough for two vehicles. Overall it was an exceptional vacation spot that we would highly recommend!
