About this property

Notos Cove at Old Fort Point

A panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean is offered from every room of this rare, tri-level, beach front home. With over 6,000 sq. ft. of elegant living space, the property elevates to 50 feet above sea level then gently slopes down to 325 feet of pristine, white sandy beach and sparkling turquoise water. This tropically landscaped property is located on a secluded cul-de-sac in New Providence, Bahamas known as Old Fort Point. The Western segment of New Providence is spectacularly beautiful and home to a number of celebrity property owners who value quality, seclusion, and privacy. The main house of the property is entered through a covered porch which features the same travertine marble that is found throughout. In the main house there are three bedrooms, and a studio apartment. - all with baths en suite. The living room and the family room open to an 859 sq. ft. terrace that is suitable for dining and entertaining. The master suite features a walk-in-closet, and wet bar. The marble whirlpool bath offers a very private view of the ocean, while the bedroom's 166 sq. ft., marble tiled, covered terrace gives a panoramic view of the ocean, pool and property. A separate 1 bedroom, 1 bath 900 sq ft guest cottage opens to the pool and patio. It features a kitchenette, views of the Atlantic from every room, central air, and a private drive.

Ask the right questions…
While the house (aesthetically) and views are absolutely beautiful, many of the daily advertised amenities of the home were not. It really took a full 3 days into our vacation before we could relax to enjoy it by not moving family members around due to no AC in one room, leaking water from the refrigerator, leaking dishwasher, using all of our detergent to clean towels because they were soaking wet from cleaning up water and we didn't want mildew/mold growing. The pool wasn't clean upon arrival. The house is advertised as having wireless internet, AC and an ice maker. The internet was very poor and we had 3 adults who were supposed to be working remotely which could not happen, (while we were there new internet was installed).... and the ice maker never worked. Our chef was able to secure a bag of ice for us for our stay. The bathrooms, kitchen floor, bedrooms not completely clean on the East wing of the house were dirty, which Sabrina did have someone come clean one of the bathrooms that majority of one family felt comfortable using. We only had her clean the bathrooms that we were actually using. Some bathrooms, no one in the house wanted to use due to cleanliness so we shared. There was hair sitting in the drain and caked up gunk in the showers. Had we had known all of this we would have looked at a different home to rent. Sabrina, thank you again for helping us as best you could and your service was impeccable, but the house was very disappointing. There is no generator at the house so be aware of that as there are regular power outages on the island. While we could only relax 2 out of 5 days, due to cleaning, calling the property manager, etc, the “CEO” of the management company only refunded 2 days. If we wouldn’t have cleaned up all the water the entire living room would have been flooded and the “CEO” would have had more issues but oh well.

Outside as advertised! Inside had some problems?!?
Pictures are AS ADVERTISED, IF NOT, BETTER!!! Sabrina met us at the airport and showed us around the house. Walking through the front door, you see wall to wall view of the beach and ocean! We were greeted by a chef we hired named Chef Perry Sweeting. If you are looking to travel to the Bahamas, look him up. I promise you won't be disappointed! More on the chef later. More positives in a minute, but a quick list of some minor problems - 1. 2 neighbor dogs - They were friendly but how were we to know? 1 jumped in the pool where my 8 yr old nephew was, swam over to him and scratched him badly. Should the 8 yr old have known better to get out? Maybe, but what was the dog even doing over on the property to begin with? We called Sabrina to let her know very sternly what happened. Good news is that the dogs did not come back the rest of the trip. Nephew was fine. 2. No wifi for 1st 2 days - Called Sabrina again. IT person came out to fix. Folks, you don’t go to the Bahamas to be on your device...you go to see the incredible views, snorkel with fish and turtles, travel around the island, etc. But...when you have 13 yr old girls (and some adults) whose lives were lost without it, you get it fixed. 3. A/C unit leak – this caused some ‘paint bubbles’ at the entrance to the garage one night, and by the next day, the paint bubbles burst, drywall tape/paint came down, and heavy drips down to the entrance area – used buckets to keep the water from being on floor. Another call to Sabrina where they came in and fixed the leak. 4. Grill did not work – on the days the chef was not there, our plan was to grill…it didn’t work so the chef brought his own for us. Chef Sweeting went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure his part of our stay was perfect. The food was tremendous from the brunches to the 3 and 4 course dinners! World class…hire him and his team! 5. Fridge water tube leak – water cooler hose to fridge had slice at the seam, causing massive water leakage in the kitchen. After finding leak, we just poured the water cooler into pitchers for drinking water. All of the above were really minor inconveniences…avoidable, but minor. By the end of the trip, everyone was sad we had to leave. Notos Cove was fantastic and worthy of returning. Sabrina, Chef Sweeting, and everyone we met on the island were so nice! My parents celebrated their 51st anniversary at the same place the celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary! Our family can’t wait to come back!

Perfect Vacation Week
We loved our time at this home. It was the perfect place to escape after a long covid year and we loved not having to wear masks like at the resorts. The beach, pool, cabana, outdoor kitchen and firepit offered beautiful views and complete privacy. I high recommend.

P-E-R-F-E-C-T. Period !!
Since the moment I did the reservation Tamara took care of all my inquiries immediately. The property is SO SO nice . Waking up in the morning and see that view is enough to be happy and satisfied that you rented this house. The beach is practically private , yours and at your feet . We wanted a chef to prepare some meals and Tamara recomend Marcella (http://www.savourbahamas.com/) she was great and always offering a big smile . None of us wanted to leave but for sure we will be back !. Thank you Tamara, Sabrina and Marcella!!
