Bigfork Cozy Cabin for Two

Our cozy cabin is located in Bigfork on seven acres with a spectacular view of the Swan Mountains. Its a perfect romantic get-away for a couple – no children please. Max. occupancy: 2 The cabin is a nicely decorated studio (300 sq. ft.) with a queen bed, futon couch, dining table, kitchenette and bathroom with shower. Just over a mile down the road is the Swan River Nature Trail that you can bicycle or walk along - it takes you into Bigfork village. While at our cabin, you can relax on the deck in this peaceful setting and enjoy the mountains, amazing sunsets, bird watch, star gaze and see deer stroll by occasionally. There is a 5 day minimum.
Destinations: 30 minutes to Glacier International airport in Kalispell; 45 minutes to Glacier Park entrance; 10 minutes to Flathead Lake; 20 minutes to Jewel Basin Wilderness; 10 minutes to Bigfork village for restaurants, brewery and grocery shopping.
Amenities: electric hot plate, microwave, frig, coffeemaker, toaster oven and 10 mbs WiFi. There is NO oven, stove, dishwasher or TV.
Restrictions: NO SMOKING anything in cabin or anywhere on property. We also live on the property which is handy in case you need anything during your stay.
Activities: nearby kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, and fishing.
We have bicycles available for your use as well as bear spray, beach chairs and cooler.

Peggy and Don are great people! They stopped by to check in a couple of times, but otherwise let us be. The cabin is very well kept and is well decorated. If we are back in the area, we will definitely try to stay here again! Thanks Peggy and Don!

Incredible views, cozy cabin, great owners!

Can't say enough good things about this adorable cabin and our stay in Bigfork. The cabin is situated facing the Swan Range with incredible views. Charming and cozy interior with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The proximity to Bigfork village was perfect for us since GTTSR was closed due to snowstorm, limiting our time in Glacier National Park. Peggy and Don were great hosts greeting us at our arrival and providing helpful suggestions for hikes and things to do. Loved our stay, would highly recommend and will be back again.

Perfect, peaceful getaway

The cabin was everything we could have asked for, and more—a peaceful retreat to unwind and enjoy nature. The location was ideal: close to downtown Bigfork and Flathead lake, a short drive to Glacier National Park and Whitefish Resort, and one of the most breathtaking hikes right at your front door (literally, you can see the summit from the front porch!). Owners Peggy and Don were so accommodating, making sure you had everything you need for a great stay. We will be back!

Time to Relax!

Our visit to the cabin was just what we needed. Relaxing on the front porch while viewing Swan Mountain range...Bike riding to Echo Cafe for breakfast...Exploring Bigfork including, Bigfork Summer Playhouse ...Driving the Swan Lake area and so many other great adventures. Peggy and Don were so helpful and knowledgeable which helped point us in the right direction. We loved our time in Montana!!

Cozy, comfortable cabin

We really enjoyed our 8-night stay in this comfortable, cute, and clean cabin. It was in a great location, near the village of Bigfork, and an easy commute to the area’s most popular activities. The cabin was the size of a luxurious hotel suite, so it is the perfect size for 2 people. It had everything we needed. We streamed entertainment on our laptop PC. If this is important to you, please note that the WiFi can be spotty. The décor is very cute and characteristic of the area. Communication with the owners was easy, and they were very responsive and hospitable. We would definitely book again.

Cozy Cabin = Perfect Getaway

This cute and cozy cabin was perfect for our trip to Bigfork, MT. It’s got an amazing view of the beautiful valley, and the we had numerous opportunities to see the local wildlife right outside our cabin windows. Peggy and Don were excellent hosts, and provided us with all sorts of fun information for amazing food and the beautiful sites. They were accommodating and friendly, really making us feel like family. There’s so much to do and see, we didn’t even come close to seeing it all. Incredible getaway spot!

We loved our stay at Peggy and Dons cabin! everything about booking with them and pre arrival communication was so streamlined. When we arrived peggy and don greeted us and let us know their favorite places locally to stop for food, and their favorite trails to hike in glacier. This was so beneficial to us and we used a lot of their recs! The cabin itself was adorable and well maintained. And perfect for two people! We loved our stay and can’t wait to be back!!! We really enjoyed our stay at Peggy & Don's cabin! It was clean, comfortable, and cozy with a rustic "Montana" decor. Everything was provided. We felt right at home. Our hosts were very welcoming and provided us with great information and suggestions for making the most of our time in Bigfork. We highly recommend!

Amazing property

The cabin is better then described and I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It is quiet and beautiful. Plenty of wild dear to observe through the windows of the cabin and direct views of the mountains.

The best place for revitalization and peace and quiet

We absolutely enjoyed first Peggy and Don their idea of a touch of class and being hosts went beyond anything you could want. The cabin is truly a treasure of quiet and peace and a place to just BE. Looking out from the front porch sitting in the rockers either having coffee in the morning (which was a wonderful blend, great pick Peggy) or sitting out there having a brewski in the evening watching the sun go down. Either way breath taking. We will be back, love you guys.

We are an active retired couple who fell in love Montana and want to share this beautiful area with others. We grew up in California and Washington state. Too many people, too much construction and increasing traffic found us searching for a more peaceful lifestyle. We are so grateful to have found our slice of Heaven here in Bigfork and we really enjoy sharing it with others!

Why they chose this property

We bought this land for the beautiful mountain views and the serenity it brought to us. Having seven acres to ourselves and lots of space is a dream come true. The first time we visited Bigfork in 2000, we couldn't wait to come back. We fell in love with its beauty and the friendly people.
IMPORTANT re: Glacier Park - they require a $2 ticket reservation (which are limited) along with the $35 pass to get in. Tickets go on sale at 8AM sharp (Montana time). They sell out in a minute or two. I recommend signing up now (at recreation.gov) so you can get familiar with the layout and are ready to go when the window opens.
Google Glacier National Park Going to the Sun road tickets. There are different regions of the Park - each requires its own ticket.

What makes this property unique

You can spend the day inside the cabin relaxing or outside on the deck staring at the beautiful mountains and the amazing cloud formations that fill our big Montana sky. Glacier National Park is only 45 minutes away. Star gazing here is fabulous! We love being so close to the rivers and Flathead lake.
