Spacious home in a lush green piece of paradise

Nice, comfortable home on large lot with spacious lanai and fenced back yard. Use our home as a base for your Hawaiian adventure. Cook meals in our new kitchen with fresh, delicious and healthy fruits and veggies available at local markets. Barbecue on the lanai or eat out at restaurants in Pahoa, Keaau or Hilo. Travel the red road and explore the many hidden gems down paths through the jungle. Check out the beaches at Kehena, Pohoiki, and Hilo they are all beautiful and unique. Walk the short loop to Akaka falls and stop at the small town of Honomu on the way for some shopping, lunch and goodies. Stroll through our neighborhood in the morning or evening meet some local people and experience living with aloha. Check out a beautiful sun rise on the ocean 1 mile from the house. Pahoa town has everything you need, natural food store, grocery store, restaurants, banks, hardware store, churches, excellent community pool that is free, park.... New Puna Kai shopping center
There are so many things to do and see I can not list them all. We recommend getting the book/App Big Island Reviled before your trip it is a great source. Feel free to call text or email for more information.

When we arrived, the kids first comment was "this place is really nice." We found that to be the case for our entire stay. We agree with the host, the covered lanai was our favorite room and we enjoyed eating there. We also enjoyed the large kitchen table that allowed us to work on puzzles during our free time.

Few days in paradise

Beautiful home, comfortable and lots of room for our family of 6 adults. You may need hear plugs with all the frogs chirping at night. It is a little out of the way but if you want to relax and don't mind the drive, this is the place for you.

Nestled in quiet neighborhood

This property was true to the listing and we would stay again in a heartbeat. We chose it for the location, the spaciousness, and the well appointed rooms. Favorite touches of the house - boogie bords, noodles, snorkel, and camping chairs for use, cordless vacuum, auto-icemaking refrigerator with filtered water (we don't have one normally so this was so nice!), and the lanai.While this location required a little bit of extra driving to get in and out, we found it well worth it to decompress from the days' activities. The kids said their favorite activites were going to Panaewa Rainforest Zoo, honey tasting at Punalani Bee Farm, and jumping off the stone tower at Moku Ola.

Pleasant Stay

The house and property was clean and well maintained. It was spacious enough for our group of 8. It was comfortable for cooking and lounging. The only downside (which is common here) is lack of air conditioning. We enjoyed our stay. Would recommend and stay again.

Great Hawaii vacation

Learning about the Big Island

Wonderful house for a family!

We absolutely loved this house. My sister and I traveled with our significant others along with our dad. We had three wonderful bedrooms to ourselves that were clean with windows and fans for cooler air in the evenings! The kitchen is well stocked with cooking tools and the outdoor kitchen is great for cooking during the heat of the day! The location is a little out of the way of beaches, but the drive is so worth it. The location was great for our day visit to the volcano park as well.

A great hub!

This was the perfect stay for the second half of our trip! Great location for exploring Hilo, Volcano National Park, and surrounding areas. Jenell was always very responsive and helpful. House was clean and perfect for 3 couples! Really enjoyed the three seasons porch.

Beautiful home. Clean & spacious! We had plenty of room to spread out! We were hot though. No A/C. Also the pool wasn’t as close as we expected. A 10 minute drive. We didn’t make it there. We anticipated a walk for older kids. No biggie but felt like false advertising listing it on the information. Despite these few things, we did enjoy our stay!! Great location! Beautiful home. Nice house and has everything needs for a family

We stayed for 4 days in the house. The place is super clean. It has everything that a family with kids need. I liked the small details the host paid attention to such as fresh flowers, surf boards and all the condiments required. The beds are comfortable and the backyard is huge. We enjoyed our stay here and will come back if we ever come back to big island :)

Perfect Home in the right place

The home is beautiful with lots of spread out space. The yard is like a botanical garden. The house is well stocked, clean, and comfortable. The pocation is perfect. I am so glad we decided to stay on the East side of the island. There is access to so many things and this house is perfectly placed. I accidently left stuff at the house and the host was quick to respond and help me to retrieve my things. Book it, you wont regret it!

This house was perfect for us.

The location is beautiful, and very convenient. The house was spotless, well furnished and very near a good shopping area with diverse businesses. We had grandkids who live in Keauu come to visit for a bit, they loved running around the grass in the back yard. We are all older people who are not able to do a lot of walking or hiking but found many locations easy for us to visit. I would highly recommend a drive through an area called "Government Road" which is directly down the road from the house. It is totally fascinating and we took the tour twice.

Good place to stay with all amenities.

Overall the property is well located with plenty of greenery around. This home has all amenities needed in a home environment with plenty of space. Although I feel the futon in the living hall could be large enough to accomodate two persons. Alternatively providing an additional floor futon or a mattress would really help. It is not comfortable for 2 persons to fit on this futon.

Great Place

Both my sister and I thought the house was perfect. We loved the openness and the fact that even though it was open there was also privacy. We also loved how the house was equipped for several items i.e. booging boards, water shoes, beach chairs, detergent etc. I only have 1 complaint, the blue room had a heavy musty smell. But other then that it was a perfect house. In fact I have a reservation for September. Mahalo nui for letting us stay at your house
