Family fishing trip

This was a great place in a great spot for my family's yearly Caddo fishing trip. We had plenty of room for the 8 of us and easy access to the lake. The hosts were very flexible and attentive and made us feel very welcomed.

It’s a very nice location. Having the big dock was nice will say it could use a little maintenance. The house was nice and spacious but could use a little tlc as well but overall place was nice and we enjoyed our stay very much

Beautiful Getaway setting

If you are lookin for a place that is out of the way with great views from two levels then you need to visit this location. The deck and water's edge space if great here. Kitchen is well stocked and the house is comfortable.

The place was wonderful, the pictures are accurate! The house was very clean and well stocked. We spent most of the time on the deck areas. Great location and great property!

This house worked for our last minute stay. The patio was questionable, the railing was VERY unstable and some of the wood definitely needed to be replaced. The AC froze up twice during our weekend stay, the owner was quick to respond but only suggested turning it off for awhile. (We did and it happened again) the beds were clean but there were cobwebs in every corner of the house, some with spiders in them.

Bayou vacation

Right on the beautiful Bayou. Wonderful views and close to Caddo Lake. Beds were comfortable and the family enjoyed staying here. Enjoyed kayaking on the Bayou. Would be really fun to bring a boat or wave runner/jet ski next time. Had a WiFi connection issue that was quickly resolved. Fresh cookies for us to enjoy when we arrived. We would enjoy staying here again.again

While the view from the deck was gorgeous, the deck itself is in a severe state of disrepair. The railings were wobbly and missing and rotting floor boards. Outdoor amenities were not useable. The AC froze up and had to turn it off for several hours to defrost it. There were spider webs (with spiders) and black mold through out the house. The photos on the listing no longer reflect the current condition of the home. The host was very easy to communicate with and acknowledged all these issues and they left us a delicious welcome cake!

Great place with deck over water near Jefferson and Caddo Lake State Park

We chose this place as a gathering for our family’s Thanksgiving. It was exactly what we were hoping for! The deck over the water was beautiful. We grilled burgers on the gas grill and made s’mores around the fire pit. The stars were spectacular! We spent one day in the cute town of Jefferson and one day in Caddo Lake State Park. Both are an easy drive. We enjoyed it so much, we’re thinking of making it a tradition!

View of the river, beautiful, inside home, clean and nice. Yard and decking needs improvements and hot tub not in working condition. Peir could use a ladder to access the river.

The deck is in the middle of a rebuild that is scheduled to be completed in the Fall. We have been in a drought all summer so water levels have been exceptionally low. Normally a ladder wouldn’t be needed but we’ll consider it moving forward.”

House need work!

House is in great location, right on the water, and stuffed with everything you may need. Host was nice. But… I am not going to mention that deck and house is in bad shape. It is a black mold all over the house! Sealing in living room, master bathroom and who knows where else. We tried to avoid be inside and was happy to leave.

After reading your feedback, the homeowner wanted to share the following: - There is some black soot residue above the fireplace, but it's not mold. We have yet to see any mold on the premise. We're sorry for the confusion - The home's interior was fully renovated with new flooring, kitchen, and appliances. It looks exactly like the photos on the listing. Fantastic 3 night trip to the bayou!

House is exactly as pictured in the listing, right on the water with HUGE deck (covered areas on both lower and upper decks). Location is across the water from a TPWD Wildlife Mgmt Area, so looking out you don't see homes on the opposite side, just views of nature! We grilled meals on the deck every day and enjoyed the firepit down by the water in the evening. House smelled clean and fresh upon entering (unlike some lake houses that have an old musty smell), so that was a pleasant surprise. We had 5 people and used all four bedrooms, and everyone reported the beds were comfy! The kitchen had plenty of dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc. to easily do all our meal prep. Large dining table inside and plenty of seating areas outside to accommodate larger groups. Comfortable seating in the living room for movie night. Things to know before you go: - They have a couple kayaks (we brought 2 of our own), but there is not an ‘easy’ way to launch from the property. With dock/deck the entire width of the property and NO LADDER on the dock to get to water level, it’s a 3 to 4 foot drop down... too far for this old lady to step into my Yak! - There is only one TV in the house, so if folks want to watch different things, time to flip a coin! - Since the whole house is on stilts, you do have to go up a flight of stairs for entry. But once up there, you go up a couple steps and cross a ‘bridge’ to the deck, so you are virtually on one level. My 84 year old dad had no issues navigating and loved the deck area, as did our whole group! Overall, we had a Fantastic 3 night trip to the bayou! Only thing I’d change is adding a ladder to the dock :) Thank you for sharing this lake house, can't wait to come back!

Simply Amazing !!!!

I rented this property for my husband our 5 kids (16,13,13,10,5) and my grandmother just to relax and celebrate my Grandma's birthday. Everything was perfect right down to the details, they even had a bottle of sparkling grape juice and a delicious cake waiting for us when we arrived.

Price-performance ratio is not justified

The accommodation has a nice location, however, the price is not justified. The jetty was rotten, the cushions of the sun loungers were dirty and worn out. The outdoor bar was also dirty and not usable. In the living room was black mold on the ceiling, generally the accommodation needs a thorough renovation or else a drastic price reduction.

40th anniversary

We were very pleased with all the accommodations, we had plenty of bedrooms and every thing was well stocked. Made the Caddo lake experience very pleasant w it's location.
