I loved the peace and quiet, the cleanliness, the views, the coziness....I needed some time alone, and a little time with siblings after the loss of our mother....it was perfect

It was a delight to host Kim! She was a very neat and tidy guest and super quick to respond. I would be happy to have her stay again anytime!!
Favorites: the large screened porch overlooking the lake, watching the bird activity at the bird feeders, listening to the rustling birch leaves in the breeze, taking pictures of the lake at dawn, stargazing on the deck at night, the bright and spacious bedroom and bath above the garage! A welcoming and responsive host. Thanks, Darren!
Relaxed and recharged! Our stay at the cottage was beyond perfection. The place was stocked with all that we needed to feel like we were home. But even better because we do not have the screened in porch that looks out over the beautuful backyard that was filled with acrobatic squirrels, beautiful birds and wildlife in the lake. I’m bringing binoculars next visit. We drank our morning coffee there and watched it all unfold. We ate our dinner there after we used the gas bbq grill. We played games on the big outdoor table in the afternoon. The wicker sofa was so comfy on the porch that I fell asleep reading. The hammock was out in the lawn under a beautiful old oak tree. Great place for a nap.My husband enjoyed using the kayak and row boat to go fishing right off the dock on the lake. My son enjoyed the queen suite over the garage all to himself. Quiet time!We look forward to our next visit. Our host greeted us upon arrival and explained the property so nothing left to guess about. He was a phone call away!
A delightful 2 week stay at this cozy little cabin on Lake Rollofson, Scandanavia was just what the doctor ordered. The cabin is tucked away amongst corn fields and farmland away from the craziness of the world. It was the perfect getaway for me. I can't think of anything that I would change, except the weather (a couple of storms and a few rainy days).
Relaxing on the screened in porch was a plus. And nature in abundance. An eagles nest across the lake, 3 eagle sightings, finches, blue jays, LOTS of hummingbirds, so much to see while relaxing on the deck.
The owner, Darren, is very responsive and helpful and super nice!
Only one suggestion to the Darren; perhaps type up a list of information about the cabin. Giving instructions on how to turn on the tv/cable/vcr combo, directions to local grocery stores, basic rules for the cabin, recycling info. and phone numbers where he
can be reached.
I plan on returning again next year for a month!
If you're looking for an adorable cabin that is cozy and quiet...this is it!

Lisa was just a joy to host! She left the place looking great and was very easy going and thoughtful. Can't wait to have her visit again next year. And yes, there's a digital house guide in the works which will then be printed and left at the cottage.
